Columbo believes he can disguise his posts but he can't, it is still the same misuse of the English language. It doesn't make any difference where the name of Jehovah came from, it is the name the Jehovah's witnesses recognize as the oldest use of the Hebrew letters for God's name, YHWH. The Hebrews didn't use vowels, so no matter how you want to pronounce it, the accepted pronounciation is Jehovah.

My late Father, had the privilege of helping build the very first one in our area. If I recall right, altho he had a growing family. He pledged $500.00 toward building it(that was a lot at that time), and helped build it too. Altho he worked a fulltime job, he made time to help on this project. We spent many happy hours studying, and learning at the KH. Soemthing I have never forgotten. We used it for years. We now have 4, or 5, and need more.
Nomi, are you saying that the KH's are not financed through the WTBTS?

Kingdom halls are financed many times by the congregation itself. When there is not enough capitol to finance the building of a kingdom hall, the Society loans the money to the congregation. The upkeep and maintainance of the kingdom hall, also the remodeling costs are the congregations.
Every congregation is able to get a loan from the Society, many congregations give financial support to neighboring congregations. No one is forced to give a penny to any project, and no one knows how much you give anyway, unless you tell someone. All donations or contributions are voluntary same as with any labor someone gives to Jehovah's earthly organization. This is not the Societies
organization and they do not tell people what to do, they make suggestions based on God's word, that is all.

Well martha , it does matter to go around telling everybody you have the only true name of god when it was a misspelled name from a catholic monk.Your living a lie. Please wake up.

JWF, I know that there is much preparation done before the actual build starts. The amount of days it takes is according to how big the building is. In the hall that I use to attend it only took them a total of 3 days to do the "QUICK BUILD". Sometimes it takes longer, but this was a small KH. But they do not count the preparation days in a quick build, then it would no longer be a quick build would it? I am speaking from my experience which you have no clue of, in the older days of building halls more of the local hall was involved in the actual build, and even the sisters were on hand more. Now, it is done so quickly, that there is really no time for commaradarie as there was back then. Sure they talk and laugh and joke, but when they are so busy, how much bonding can really be done?
This is why the brothers suggest we do not make comments out in the open for others to judge and get the wrong impression...sorry, but lets not "duke it out" here. People do not always understand. it just gives JW's a bad rep.
