How they build Kingdom Halls is amazing how brothers and sisters work together in love. Haters of Jehovah God don't like this.

Yes I think it is wonderful, many have marveled at the unity displayed among JW's building these quick builds, I guess that is why they are put up so fast also, no egos.

I remember as a teenager in the late 60s being involved in the traditional brick build of our Kingdom Hall all by voluntary helpers, which took us months. I got the chance to lay a few bricks in the wall, which made me very proud. The camaraderie was tremendous. Those with special trade skills coming in for miles to help us out. And constant refreshments being circulated by the sisters. Happy days indeed.

This is obviously the days before quick build, and the Witnesses are to be congratulated on their modern techniques.

I remember those days when they would build like that. The whole KH would gather and work with brothers and sisters from other congregations. Those were happy days. Now its just those fast 3 days things, which is good, but not as much comaraderie.

Then you don't know anything about a quick build. It doesn't take just 3 days to build a Kingdom Hall. The brothers are there getting the ground ready, the foundation, cement poured...etc. weeks before the actual build. There's plenty comaraderie during that time.

JWF, I know that there is much preparation done before the actual build starts. The amount of days it takes is according to how big the building is. In the hall that I use to attend it only took them a total of 3 days to do the "QUICK BUILD". Sometimes it takes longer, but this was a small KH. But they do not count the preparation days in a quick build, then it would no longer be a quick build would it? I am speaking from my experience which you have no clue of, in the older days of building halls more of the local hall was involved in the actual build, and even the sisters were on hand more. Now, it is done so quickly, that there is really no time for commaradarie as there was back then. Sure they talk and laugh and joke, but when they are so busy, how much bonding can really be done?

The reason why Jehovah's witnesses volunteer their time to work on quick build kingdom halls, is to do a job. They don't go to be with old friends or make new ones, or bond with anyone. They love to see and work with old friends they've known, they get to spend time together after the work day is over, they never waste time by visiting.

You mean after all the work is done they all sit around the keg and laugh about all the people Jehovah will kill? Does the WTBTS pay for the beer or do they make the workers pay for their own beer and just charge for the cups?

That has got to be the silliest thing you have said here Martha. Have you ever been involved in a quick build? They most certainly do talk to each other while working, I have been at quite a few and have heard the discussions between many brothers doing builds. They work and talk. They go to the motel or the homes of the ones who are housing them till the work is done, and speak only to those then go to sleep to start another day so they can quickly move to the next build. But you are right, they sure dont waste time by visiting like they use to anymore.:) It has turned into a job that they do not bet paid for.

what's with all the parania Martha, who said they went JUST for the association, that is all part of it, working together with the same goal, meeting new b/s having coffee and cake, or a meal together, whats wrong with that, no one is judging their motives, lighten up you are starting to sound like you are looking for a mess around.

Imagine how much money is saved by "volunteer workers". Thats one of the reasons that the Watchtower corporation is near the top in financial terms. They may have plans to go public soon.Check out the financial shows on television.

ha ha, the jw gov body fooled you again!

they got free labor out of you.

the old kingdoom hall wasn't that old, nor was there anything wrong with it except that it was PAID OFF...... so, they issued a new loan, found a cheap lot, had a free workforce build a new structure, then collected the money from the sale of the other kingdoom hall, and now they are receiving the payments again, along with the lump sum of the sale of the other structure.

ha ha, they are stockpiling billions.
they use it as leverage in court when they get sued.

it's sorta like when hitler made the prisoners dig their own grave,....he deceived them into thinking it was for something else..... then he made them get in it, and he shot them.

jws are building the empire of the one whom jesus is warning against..... the wolf that came in the back door..... matt 24;24

Not yet.It has to be done in a manner so that the ordinary Jehovah Witness will not be aware of it.

The quick build kingdom halls is truly a blessing for witnesses from Jehovah God. This concept of having a new building with grass and trees and flowers up and functioning in such a short time was unheard of in 1980.
Having a new Kingdom Hall to worship in is a gift from everyone who works on that project.

The television producers of the Home Improvement show knew how wonderful this idea was, and have made millions of dollars with that television show.
