[WTF I WORK]

I am a long time Poteau resident and I am sick of all these rich a$$ people walking around here like thier SH!T don't stink just because they maybe own a business. Don't they know thier FARTS stink just as bad as us poor folks who actually WORK for a living. I would like for once to see these B!TCHES get out and get a job. We'll see then how long those FAKES A$$ nails last and those fancy hairdos.

I know what you mean. Having more money doesn't make you a better person, it just means you have more money. And often I have met well-to-do Poteau people I would not consider being friends with simply because they think their clothes, hair, and fingernails are what makes them "good" people, when, in fact, they are the most gossipy uncaring people I've had the misfortune to deal with. I haven't met one yet who knows what an "outhouse" is, and would just die if they had to draw water from a well. They're spoilt, and don't realize they have to eat, sleep, and breath the same as everyone else. They're no different from me. Give me a poor person who cares about their neighbor anyday. That's the hallmark of a good person; not how much money is in their purse.

You folks have got to be kidding,if not each other then you are kidding yourselves.Just because some people have worked hard to get where they are dont mean they are snobs.Maybe you should look in a mirror and see if maybe its you who are lacking.Sometimes we and i mean myself to think thoughts that are detramental because we are intimidated.Simply because maybe we didnt acheive as much as we wanted to in life or for some other unexplained reason God kept us where we are for a real good reason.I have been on the dunn and bradstreet list once,was making 250,000 per year 3 yrs in a row,now i have nothing and am wondering what to do next but I'm not going to put down those have suceeded!!!!! by the way i was raised in bokoshe

all my family works hard and when i am waiting tables these stuck up snobs walk in the resturant with thier noses in the air and acting like they are better that everybody else. my cousin works in a store and has to put up with snobby ass people all day who act like the people who work there should wait on them hand and foot and cater to thier every whelm. poteau has people who marry the sugar daddies and then act like thier sh!t don't stink just because they probably never worked a day in their sorry a@@ lives. the point of this thread from what i have read is the people in poteau who think they are better than the people who ACTUALLY work for a living. and i agree there are to many stuck snobs in poteau who walk around here looking down thier snotty noses at those of us who do work. you see them in just about every establishment in poteau treating those who do work like sh!t. and most of us are sick of it.

I have lived in a dozen or more places around the world.(Widowed now, but was married to a military man). There are these kinds of people everywhere. Every place, big cities and small towns; not just Poteau.
There are also people everywhere who have made no effort to climb off the bottom rung of the ladder but try to blame someone else for their station in life.
I have dealt with just as many stuck up, manicured, coiffured store clerks and waitresses as I have the general public who makes it possible for them to have a job.

I will agree with you to a certain degree but you will have to admit Poteau is a snobby town.
I too have lived in several cities and states and I find Poteau is one of the worse for snobby people. There has only been one other small town that equals Poteau in snobbery and I had better not say for fear of repercussions.
One poster above is right about the "sugar daddy" part in Poteau. I have never seen so many females in a small town like Poteau that will sell their bodies for "special favors."

I do not know about the sugar daddy part. Didn't know there were any around here. I know morals are loose, but I mostly stay in the house and mind my own business.

I just hate it when I am trying to pay for a purchase at tote-a-poke and some gal is yakking on the phone, playing with her hair and smacking gum, ignoring me.

Course it ain't just the gals. I had the same thing happen to me at Jenzen's when I pulled in to have the oil changed in my car.

All I am saying is it ain't just Poteau.

give me a break. poteau is full of those snobby a&& ppl. what makes them think they are so special and should get special treatment at the tote a poke and jenzens is they think thier sh!t smells like roses and should be waited on before the woking class fella who has grease on thier clothes after working on the snobs caddy. these ppl walk around with thier hair sprayed in place thier fakes ass nails and fancy clothes and DEMAND to be treated like royality and if you happen to be busy with someone else then they get all pissy because you didn't drop what you were doing and cater to thier whilms. Pleeease, they would be better off getting off thier lazy asses and getting a job just to see how it is on the other side of the counter. defend all you want, you are probably one of the snobs yourself. but those of us who has to put up with these bi$che$ no different and we are treated by the stuck of snobs in poteau. and by the way. those of us who do work and i mean work hard for a living we have to make do with what we have to look our best. we can't afford to sit in the beauty salon every effing week just to look like a rich a$$ bitc$ who wouldn't know what a real job is.

My, my, Imas. I can promise you when I was in the work force, I WORKED harder in a day than most people waiting on tables and changing oil in cars do in a day.

You only have to hear one end of a giggly conversation to know it is not business being discussed.

I never expected to go to the head of the line, but I ALWAYS expect "people behind the counter" to at least ACT like they appreciate my business. WTF are they getting paid for? And I say again, it is not just Poteau.

I was dirty and tired, no make-up or fake fingernails, or hair spray, but I had money in my pocket. Too many of those "people behind the counter" looked down their nose at me.

Let me start off by saying msbobbie kudos to you.I too was saying that we should not judge to harshly on either side,but you said it so well.As for some of you others i used to set mobile homes and modulars for a living, google it and yuo will see its in the top 5 most dangerous jobs in the world,and are purchased by people from all walks of life.The very hardest people i have ever set for and was the hardest to please were the people who barely qualified for the note and let it repo in 6mos,the nearest i come to that on the other side was a lawyer buying one for a lake house and wanted something for nothing so you see it goes both ways,you dont like them dont work on their caddy's dont want to wait on them buy your own resturant,then who's to say you wont become one of them.God put us here for a reason and each of us in our position for a reason so if its not where you want to be talk it over with the boss and see if He has a change in mind for you.

Wow, my husband and i are thinking of moving to poteau, we may not fit in. though we really don't care if people are snobs cause i pretty much speak my mind. is poteau a good place to relocate or not
