Today Sept 24 at approximatly 5:25 p.m. A Pampa Police car passed us going well over the speed limit.
This was near Electra TX, he was talking away on the cell phone and wobbled into the other lane.
We got behind him and had his speed figured at around 85 plus in a 70.

Tried to get plate but could not get close enough.

So right now you are admitting that you yourself was speeding also. I think its funny when people who are breaking the law are the first to complain...

It's your taxes honey we were estimating his speed.
He passed us on his cell phone and weaved into the other lane.
We were trying to get a tag number to write down.
His speed got to high for us to do so safely.

See it your way.
Pay his salary, it is what is.

Well last time I checked it is not illegal to talk on a cell phone while driving. How many times have you talked on a phone while driving. I use to work in law enforcement and let me tell you its the most unappreciated job someone could have. People want to complain about the stupidest things and gripe when nothing gets done fast enough and then throw in the saying I pay your salary. I'm sure the officer would toss you your quarter back that you payed toward his salary. I do agree there are some officers out there that are on a power trip but save the complaining to something worth it.

I used to work in Law enforcement and I don't talk on a cell phone and drive and let me tell you.
I would gladly toss this ass out on his ass.

How many relatives does he have there. I will just write a certified letter to someone in charge.

Wonder if this was the same Pampa PD officer that didn't have to stop outside of Quanah at that big wreck and help? But he did. He did a great job at helping the wreck victim, and assisting with traffic control on 287 so that the victim in the car wreck could get seen by EMS.
I say good job to the officer, and God put him in the right place at the right time. Go ahead and write the certified letter of complaint, I'm gonna write the certified letter of thanks. He didn't cause you to wreck, put you in danger, or make you take evasive action. Just move on, like none of us have ever sped before.
Good job officer! Thanks for putting your life on the line for us!

I guess whoever is in charge there can sort it out.
There was no accident that day for a Pampa office to stop for.

Im sure they will sort it out and are just floored by this terrible act(hahaha), so I wouldnt waste my time. Maybe you should find a hobby or something more productive to do with your time than this.

Ok...You obviously have'nt worked in law enforcement that long....Any Supervisor worth his salt is going to read your complaint, give a slight grin, and toss it to the shredder...Now...The cell phone is a TOOL that an officer USES practically ALL of his shift....Ever heard "Public Service"??? I do not condone peace officers using their job to get away with stuff....But unless you are'nt aware of whats going on, get rid of that false sense of satisfaction your going to get with that letter and dont waste your time.
