Blue Island community alerts are posted months after crimes committed.

Apparently... you saw the sign. Would you like hime to personally come to your door? Besides, isn't that the job of the police department?
Do we need signs and alerts for that?
Shouldn't people be alert anyway?
What are you going to do different once you've been alerted?
Here's some advice be alert, be apprehensive, be prepared to protect yourself. Do a little thinking on your own, instead of blaming everyone else. I assume you're an adult, start thinking like one.

OMG you sound like "Chicken Little" or the looney lady from CASA. LOL!!!! Gee must you even be educated on how to go to the bathroom by yourself? Here's a lesson I usually get paid for...think for yourself! Alerting the community about possible crimes in the area is not the Alderman's job...it is the Blue Island Police Department. Not even in the big city does the Alderman do that. Now sit down and think real hard about what I just told you for free.

The Miniature Rain Barrels (thimble size) mayor pro tem passed out at last night's city council meeting representing his help regarding street repair for the 7th ward were just so cute! The streets may not be fixed but we got one of those teeny tiny rain barrels.

Typical, resort to name calling. Nothing to do with politics, just general advice.

Forget the teeny tiny rain barrels; they are NOT enough. Why hasn't the sewer problem been fixed and why haven't our streets and curbs been repaired?

The Coalition/Progressive Blue Island Independent Party created this whole mess and have No idea how to work through it.

They will likely blame the mayor and claim their hands are clean.

I pray for Blue Island the city but not for those individuals (City Council members, mayor, clerk, treasurer, department heads). I used to love this city but we have individuals who can care less for the city and just there for their individual gain. If you are running for any office in the city do it for the city and get us out of this mess. Don't point fingers and get rid of unnecessary personnel and get rid of the debt. Let's start building Blue Island again.
