How many jobs does state rep bob rita need? He is state rep 100,000 dollars plus annually. He is Calumet Township Supervisor $60,000 annually. Cook County Highway Department Analyst. Calumet Township Democratic Committeeman. And several fantistic pensions thrown in just for the hell of it.

The real question is - why would just ONE job of his still be more than the number you have?

GET ONE AND THEN COMPLAIN!

Did you check your information? Don't think State Reps make that much unless you are including extra duties. He isn't getting the full pay for supervisor because by law, it must be prorated for the time he is in Springfield. That was the compromise when the legislature was trying to decide if this sort of thing was a conflict. Legislature said there wasn't one. Don't understand that at all. Who would be in a better position to help the Township besides a rep or senator? Is someone running against him?

This is proof positive, it is time to abolish township government. The taxpayer no longer can afford this.

There should be a law against double and triple dipping! Governor Pat Quinn has always been against this type of politics. And the Governor is a very honorable man.

Of course he didn't check his information - he's a Republican!

"Checking" his information consists of listening to Hannity, Beck, and Limbaugh.

How educated are these three again?

Not as uncommon as most people would think, is the good idea and movement to do away with township government in Illinois that does not consistently exist state wide. Doing away with townships will reduce the financial burden on taxpayers.

I predict the next administration will actually employ more people but at a lesser salary as to guarantee more future votes.

Bob Rita must explain tonight, why he should have so many jobs. The 28th District has a UP -6 unemployment rate around 16%.

Advocates say Springfield momentum growing for gay marriage

As the nationís high court seemed to sidestep the decision on gay marriage on Tuesday, hinting it may be an issue better left to the states, advocates of gay marriage in Illinois say itís imperative that the state act quickly.

The Illinois state senate advanced a same-sex marriage proposal symbolically on Valentineís Day. The matter is left up to the House, which didnít call the matter for a vote before adjourning for a spring break.

Are you implying something about Rep. Rita since this thread is about him?
