Just about a week ago, three Worth Kids pulled up to a Worth Teen Ager and shot the boy near Smile Park in Worth with Paint Balls. The boy who got shot had eye surgery and may not regain his sight. The three kids who were involved in the shooting...two football players from Shepherd High School still are attending football practice...and the Driver of the car lives in Worth and her mom still works at the Village, Park District and Water's Edge. It looks as though our Mayor and Trustees of Worth are protecting this girl and mom!! Remember this next election. The young boy (14 yrs) old who got shot will appreciate it if you don't re-elect this board if they continue to allow this mother to work for the village. The case is now with the State and it looks like NOTHING will be done except the boy who got shot may never regain his full vision again.

its becoming clearer who the driver was but her mother does not work for the park district,she used to awhile back but i believe she still works for the village.

Get your story straight. The law is the law. You can not release the names of juveniles, whether this is good or bad they are protected by law. I also spoke with an officer and he told me that the States Attorney was brought in to review this case and that the States Attorney made the decision on what charges would be filed against the juveniles. I believe the Police Department did do their job, nobody is protecting anyone, the officers followed the law.

Well justice was kind of served today. The mother of the daughter has a story in the Worth Reporter today under POLICE BLOTTER. This mother has been allowing underage drinking at her home. And the night of the shooting, drinking at her home by minors it appears to be true. Also, the Stats Attonery can do what they want. I am sure the boy's paretns will contact their lawyer and file a civil case too. STEVE I wish your brother was still a trustee at Village Hall...HE would have cleared this up for the family of the victumn!!

I also believe what these kids did was wrong and stupid, but
what don't you understand. The Village Board was not involved in this. THE WORTH DETECTIVES WERE and THEY DID THEIR JOB, according to the law. If you don't like the law, then use all your hot air and try and get it changed. You should be complaining to the States Attorney, they are the one's who decided to charge them as juveniles. According to the new law as of January 2010, 17 & under are protected as juveniles and the only people who can change this is the States Attorney. That is why the police called them in. Like I said I got this info from a cop, but it seems you are so quick to blame others. According to the Law ex-trustee Werner could not have changed anything. DO YOU GET IT NOW.

I understand that and we are writing a letter to the States' Attorney. My question for the Village Hall is...what will they do about Chirs Bugilo now that she was (1) found to be contributing to miniors at her house (2) had her daughter involved in the shotting. She is on the Village Payroll....RIGHT STEVE??? and WATER'S EDGE TOO...RIGHT MR WERNER? Ex Trustee Werner would have made sure MRS. Bugilo would not be on these payrolls after this all happened. The village hall is protecting HER as well as her daughter.

I dont believe she works at the village hall anymore,but she does work at waters edge so yes she still works for the village.As for her cleaning job at the village hall that is for another person who has the contract if there is one.

Please get your facts straight before you open your mouth. The "mom" does NOT work for the village and this was a horrible accident. The kid in the car did not see nor did they mean to hurt anyone. Everyone involved is very sorry and remorsefull for what has happened. I hope this never happens to you or anyone in your family. Please understand that WE ALL MAKE MISTAKES!!!!!!! We all need to stop pointing figures at eachother and stop this petty fighting and talking behind peoples backs! I hope you feel better after posting this little paragraph.

OMG, This one is so GOOD it needs to be seen again! A mistake? Hosting a Party and serving minors a mistake? No it is criminal. She should of been arrested and sent to Cook County. ms. lisa first offf this was no accident nor was this just a mistake. you just dont drive around worth and other villages shooting paintballs out your window. if it was such an accident than why did they shoot the young boy twice? then to speed away seeing him laying on the sidewalk. no no this was not an accident so i think you should get your facts straight. and this is the villages business this happened in our town and people should care about thre safety around here. this boy could lose his eyesight and that can never be replaced. so the three punks get what they deserve no one feels sorry for them or there familes.

Just so you know...Steve Werner is the one who is screwing up our Park District. You all think it is Previous Village trustee KEVIN Werner, who served our village very well..please dont confuse the two...and please at the next Park District election..DO NOT VOTE FOR STEVE WERNER!!!!
I know this has nothing to do with the topic at hand, just think you all need to be educated alittle before you throw around good names of good people!
