The legal defense of Theresa N (THE POLICE CHIEF) should not be the burden of the Crestwood residents who have been poisoned by her actions. She signed the false reports knowing that the information was incorrect and deceptive. She knew about it and was an active player of this fiasco from the start. As a quick deal, the Water Department Supervisor was given the prize of being named Police Chief to keep her mouth shut about all of the illegal water activities.

The qualifications for Crestwood Police chief Ė 1)Keeping a secret, 2)Water Department Supervisor, 3)Signed the falsified reports, 4)Keeping a secret, 5) Part time youth officer who never worked the street, 6)Keeping a secret, 7)Loyalty to Chet, 8)Keeping a secret, 9)Signed falsified water reports, 10)Qualifications donít matter.

The residents of Crestwood are paying her full salary and benefits to stay at home while she awaits trial on Federal Charges. The US Attorney seldom looses and the fact that she was responsible for the records and they have her signature on the falsified documents means nothing? She should be immediately removed without pay and the residents should not have to pay to defend her illegal actions of assisting to poison the Crestwood water supply.

I feel the Village should pay her salary and keep her job. You are a sad American citizen if this your only way of BITCHING you have failed in life. Do us all a favor and just go away you are in way over your head here.

When someone knowingly signs their name under penalty of law to a document they know is false, they are violating the law. When making this conscious decision to violate the law, they are knowingly opening themselves to criminal sanctions. Even more important, a Chief of Police must be able to testify in court and sign official documents. If the Chief has shown they will sign false reports, their integrity is out the window. Any defense attorney in court will be able to discredit their testimony and, therefore, they are completely ineffective. A true professional would recognize this and, for the good of their department and its officers, leave voluntarily.

I am not a sad American Citizen. I pay my taxes,I vote, and I question our govermental leaders and hold them accountable. I have also served faithfully in the military and in addition have served on a jury. I support our honest police, firemen and military servicemen. I despise bad cops who lie, cheat and abuse their authority. They hold a position of public trust and should never betray the public.

I hope I get called to serve on the jury who hears the Crestwood case.

Well Lisa Madigan filed a law suit against the village. I'm sure she would be very interested in hearing about the tripled water bills.

Go to the next village board meeting and during public comments let them know how you feel. These are the people who make the decisions. Let it be on record you are dissatisfied.

Don't be afraid to express yourself in a public form. The press is now at the meetings. Complaining on Topix does not get you very far or answer your questions.
