I was wondering how you can see the favorable outcome of the hearing for the incumbents as any sort of vindication of their behavior. As I said in another thread, just because this crowd of incompetents managed to avoid the worst consequences of their bumbling does not mean that they are not incompetent. It only means that they are lucky incompetents.

Perhaps their new campaign slogan could be, "It's better to be lucky than competent!" No one would contend that it wasn't an appropriate sentiment for them to express.

The 5 stooges, aka FANS candidates cost the Village of Mokena taxpayers $12,000 over their filing of a frivilous objection to the incumbants petitions. Don't trust Fleischer with control. Vote for Mazzorana, Metanias, Siwinski, and Patt to protect your tax dollars!

So you saying that the village needed to pay their lawyer $12,000 to be at the hearing for just the deputy clerk who is a village employee. And this village employee just needed to answer several questions about the time when a petition or petitions were turned in. And all she had to do was honestly answer a few questions which she did from what I hear. And for this the law firm charged 12,000. I think we all need to request the billing on this one. How much work did they need to do for that kind of money. I find this highly suspect. How many billable hours went into this for the deputy clerk and at what rate per hour. I am not doubting what you are saying but it sure seems like a lot of money for a little work.

But you wont? You pretend that you have some problem with $12,000 of the taxpayers money being wasted. But yet you wont challenge the incumbents on that number. You are on here defending them day and night. But now something seems not quite right and you want me to challenge them. If you agree that the number does not seem right and yet you wont challenge them on it or question it. Wow I want to be your car mechanic. New muffler, yep its $12,000. Yes sure you can trust me, you have been coming here for years. These are your guys, you claim that we must have them reelected to "defend" Mokena. But yet you just accept what they say without question? You are the one posting that number on every thread on this site. But you thought nothing of it until I said something? Seems strange to me.

This $12,000 was not caused by the incumbents! It was caused by Fleischer having the woman that circulated his petitions file an objection to the incumbents petitions. The incumbents have their own bill for their attorney that they will have to pay for themselves. This $12,000 is the village of Mokena taxpayers bill because the village had to hire Richard Kavanaugh to represent the electoral board at the hearing. I don't need to see the bill to figure out if it is right or a fair charge. The finance director, village administrator and all the trustees saw the bill and approved it for payment. Fleischer and Windburg and others were in the audiance at the Monday night meeting and could have come up under public comments to question that bill, but of course they didn't. Labriola could have attended the meeting to vote no to not approve that bill, but he opted to miss the meeting because he knows he is part of the problem as the co- campaign manager for Fleischer and crew. Therefore he must feel it is a fair charge caused by the filing of the objections. You need to read these posts closer, and either go to the meetings or watch them on TV. You could still watch this meeting on tape. I hope you do. You can also go to www.Mokena2013.com for a very lengthy explanation of everything relevant to Mokena.

. Excellent Statement and Question " Old Man " but if we file a FOIA then we will be accused of wasting Taxpayer Money because someone will have to review it . Look at Tinley Park FOIA controversy, the Incumbents hide the truth then the inquisitor is called the Bad Guy if they try to find it . I believe you are right.!

And what are you implying with this little post. You said the people at the village hall will know who we are. Are you implying that there will be some sort of vindictive behavior or consequences for filing a FOIA. Do we the citizens need to fear our local elected officials or is it the actual employees at the village hall who we should fear. Please tell us all what that little remark was supposed to imply. I already know the elected officials and most of the village hall employees. Are you saying that if I question them or ask for answers I need fear. You really should stop posting because you are not very sharp. You may think you are helping the incumbents, but you are not.

Never said you should FEAR, I'm saying you don't want us to find out who you are or else you would use your real name. Anybody that FOIA's is public record and people on this blog can add 2 and 2 and get 4. I really don't care if anyone finds out who I am.
