Yes. One kills himself on duty and I'm sure the other is about ready too. I heard he's a real "winner"
Way to pick great cops PHPD.

Why would a police officer mention to a person that he is writing a ticket 2 tell how much he makes. He sounds like a goof. Not really a reason to be fired though!

Those guys make much more than 80 but Harris doesn't have to worry about that anymore. He's out.
Anyone know why? He has a long history of F-ups.

He probably wanted to do the right thing and was pushed out. Alot of officers get pushed out when they want to do things the right way. This is what I hear from ex police man.

I was told today that it is a rumor. Not true. The one that committed suicide. I was told that was true.

Well, let's see if he ever comes back. Guarantee it's true. Directly out of PD mouth.
Anyone who knows him will know that it's someone else's fault.

Yes I heard they are facing hard times over there. With the suicide and this other character does anyone know why he killed himself?

I was just told today that he had a history of problems nothing specific???

The officer who took his own life obviously had some personal problems, but any time I dealt with him he was always kind and professional. You could tell he loved his job and enjoyed helping the community. As for Harris, only dealt with him a few times, and don't feel like I have the right to speak in his favor or against it. I would, however, like to know what happened if he is indeed off the payroll. He has been around for awhile, so either he really messed up bad or it was one of those things where he accumulated infractions and they asked him to resign. Bad time for anyone to be out of work....

Whatever making excuses doesn't make the problems go away.

I found out some dirt. One of them had a Sexual Harrasement suit against them. I was told that it was either the one that got fired or the one that committed suicide?

The word is the woman hired Attorney Matt Walsh, I was told that they city paid her big bucks to keep it out of the paper and to keep it Hush Hush. Maybe that's why the guy was fired. Or the other one committed suicide?

If I had to guess, I would say Harris was the one with the harrassment suit. Was it a Heights PO or a citizen filing the complaint? I think you know a lot more than your lettin' on! Share with the rest of us...Pretty please????

I asked around town, and the gentleman said that it was true about the harrasment but he was not sure who it was.He said next time he sees her he would ask her. He said that something ocurred he was just sure which one it was.

I knew the officer that killed himself...He was a great person and a good officer
He was having marital problems/impending divorce and had trouble dealing with it. Don't throw his good name under the bus because another officer was fired over a separate incident(s)

It was the one that killed himself. His wife found out about his extra cirrculiar actvities on the streets and filed for divorce. He had harrased 2 women one was from Palos Heights The other one was a police ride along that he was training from Lemont. One of the women sued the City of PaLos Heights and recieved a substantial amount of money he said that one of the victims drives a 2014 Black Volvo.
