I agree with most of the above comments. The Doc does overcharge insurance companies on his work. He also keeps a very untidy and dirty office. He does answer the phone in the middle of his procedures and doesnt change his gloves. I went to him one time and experienced bad service bad manners and no respect for the patient what so ever. I was also overcharged for my cleaning $2ooo.00 for a cleaning and office visit. i also looked into his document to practice its expired chicago has it listed on their annual renewal website his was denied.

When I started this string everything I posted was 100% accurate.. I am NOT from another dentists office, but just a good sameritan trying to give other possible patients a heads up. Thank you to all those who shared their personal nightmare with this monster. It just proves that I wasn't the only one!

I agree with you, I have been to adlfInger and I regret every minute of it!! Like some of you said, he has really bad chair side manners,he doesn't change his gloves, he comes out to the waiting room with the gloves on and shakes peoples hands, disgusting!!! And why does he come out and sit in the reception room with the patients? That's so unprofessional. He is such a he also answeres his cell phone while I was in the chair,he blows his nose with the gloves still on, gross!! He smells really bad!! It seems like he doesn't shower just gets out of bed and put on his clothes and this dirty looking hat to see his patients after a long night at the casino because It's is true he is a gambler and he is always at the casino always harassing all the poker dealers to go back and see him but no one want to go back there, he just doesn't get the hint!!! Your a bad dentist. When I went in to see him he mentioned all the names of the poker dealers that would go and see him, little he knows that there never going back there and talking bad about him! I also don't appreciate him telling other people my name and my business without my consent isn't that against some privacy law?? He ruined my mouth and now I'm terrified to go to any dentist!!

I just want to agree on all the negativity! As one of his ex -employees, I can say everything write I'd saying is true. I got fired because I didn't answer my personal phone at nighttime. He also asked us to do a lot of things that were not in the job description!! Sue his ass! He is criminal. And to the lady who's son got pinched, I'm sorry to hear that. It was definitely true. He's done that infront of me. I told the patients parents what I witnessed. Because to me that is wrong. He steals patients money for sure! And he sure as hell don't know dentistry anymore!

All I can say is RUN RUN RUN!!!! Never ever go to him!!!! Dirty office, equipment from 1950, very very unpleasant man I was reading all these reviews while I waited an hour and half in the office. And I walked away. This man stepped out of room, went to another patient with same gloves, I saw him fixing thermostat, opening doors with same gloves. Very uneasy feeling in his office. Don't wait until wall falls on you. Walk away!!!!

I would say that I can verify without a doubt that most of theses stories are pretty truthful. I visited this office recently and did not find this forum till afterwards when looking where I could file a complaint. Just found out that my insurance budget or the year is gone (that has to be illegal). My teeth are not fixed and I caught some type of infection on my lp. The place is very unsanitary. The "Doc" as he is known is a nice fella but his ethics and work practices need major impovements. The whole glove and cell phone thing is true as I experienced it first hand. i was even more shocked that he was talking to somebody that was at the casino that was trying to get him up there asap. So after reading all of these reviews and all these complaits I would highly suggest that you find a diffrent dentist. Im not one to bash ones profession but now Im out 3,500.00 dollars/which he assured me he would do in work(not that Im going back). So now im looking for a way to take legal action against this office and practice.

Dr. Adlfinger has been my Dentist for 35 years. I have so much trust in him that he has treated my wife and children and my siblings and their families. He is without any doubt one of the best Dentists practicing today. I know that he attends many continuing education seminars so keeps up with the most current dentistry trends. He is always very professional and courteous to his clients and his staff. It appears to me that the negative comments about him are being placed on the internet as a smear campaign to hurt his business. I know that he has done many acts of charity and does not brag about it. I am suspicious of many of the posts and I believe they are from companies that then solicit money from the Doctor victims to remove or bury the negative comments. Seeing something posted about someone on the internet doesn't prove anything since anyone can post what they want and not be held accountable for doing so. As for me I will keep going to Dr. Adlfinger as long as he is in business and do not look forward to the day that he retires since I don't want to try to find another Dentist that is of the same high caliber as he is.
I know this guy personally and professionally and he should not be practicing. This is no smear campaign; you just may be one of the few lucky ones that got him earlier in his career. When I was introduced to him, I went and got some work done. Let me tell you, everything that I have read so far has been similar to my experience. From the insurance over charging to the uncleanliness of his office and not changing of gloves, not to mention he was so rough with me and didn't care if I was in pain. I would NEVER EVER go back if he was the last dentist on earth. I am glad that you or your family never got hurt.

Just read that he was arrensted in Palos Heights for leaving the scene of an accident and resisting arrest. Apparently he hit a car and took off and when the cops tried to arrest him, he thought he could bully them. Sure hope people read up about this guy and think twice before considering him as their dentist.

I had taken my two children to this office, back over 15 years ago. The children at KidCare at the time, at it was convenient, since we lived in Palos Heights. Well, they had some "preventive" kind of fillings put in their back teeth (luckily their baby teeth still). The kids said he was very mean and were terrified of him. My son (26 yrs. old now), said he was the creepiest guy (the same term everyone is using). I will never forget how upset they were, so I never went back there--all I keep wondering is how is this guy still in business--and in the same location! There isn't a time that I drive by there, that all of those memories come back. My new insurance has him in their listing, which made me look up his background -- I'm sure glad I did! I will STAY AWAY fore sure!

I call Dr. Adelfinger the "Chop shop". He took 3 hours to pull 2 impacted wisdom teeth from my right side. THAT NIGHT I rushed to the ER for severe pain in my jaw and neck and was diagnosed with "TMJ", but the doctors said it really looked like it was from the extraction, which should have been done by an ORAL SURGEON!! They said my neck pain was whip lash!!! I have had "phantom" pains, sometimes excruciating, ever since the procedure. The teeth were so impacted he literally had his nurse pin my head down while he violently shook my head back and forth to pull the tooth. I STILL have bone fragments pushing up through the gums, and this was done 7 years ago!!! I will never go there again, and if a class action lawsuit begins, I would definitely love to put my 2 cents in....
