<quoted text> its fair share and I'm sick of Democrats using their class warfare. G.E. has a Ceo who served as an Obama adviser for his energy Dept. They inturn, were given all kinds of tax breaks. Yes, Obamas! Keep listening to fools like Biden and Obama. Obama did nothing to stop these so called loop holes when he had control of the house and a filibuster proof Senate for the first two years of his term. I say make the government spend less and make it live within its budget and kick all the moochers off the tax payers roll! Why is it if you belong to a union, you feel entitled?is it because you vote democrat? Unions go democrat because the democrats promise things and democrats promise things because the unions vote for them. This state and federal govt. are broke! That means we are out of money and can't afford these entitlements anymore! Play time is over!
there, we agree, were screwed, Obama or romney, were screwed,, the global banks and wall street are in charge,(so shut up slave) not We the people!! glad you get it.. our so called media is controlled by super wealthy, they steer the dumbed down Americans , even makes them feel like they have a choice, A say , lol... yet both work and are controlled by the elite, you think some one can be the president of the US with out sneaking off to a secret Bilderburg meeting?? a fool would say yes this is America,lol...bilderburg has been calling the shots sense 1954..
I love America, and for sure the hard working family's trying to raise the children for a bright future, trying to just survive is now the American dream..

so good luck to all Americans, wish more were awake, but there not Dances with the stars is on and foot ball.. Yay America ...

Union thug and Lynn from hammond had some intelligent comments. Midlo resident would have been there as well but he took it to personnel an started to rant about how were over paid and the rest of the state supports us and the work we do. I have benefits in place to make sure Iam not a burden when I retire unlike most of my counterparts if they havent done there due deligence theyll be looking for support in the retirement years or theyll continue to work. Now are you for real with the pitting a union guy and non union guy next to each other. I ve seen both and worked both. I would say 9 out 10 times the union guy is going to smoke him and still look nice. There are however some good non union guys who know there stuff and take pride in there work.. There are fat stupid and lazy on both sides. I work with a group of hard working and bright individuals who I feel at times dont get paid enough for what we do. But we are working and lucky to be because alot of good guys are out of work to them I say hang in there well get through this and dont be to proud to ask your hall for help or take advantage of the programs that were set up for the members to weather the storm.

The labor movement is fighting for more and better paying jobs. We want expanded social services and a crackdown on the Wall Street corporate crime that has robbed this nation of billions and thrown people out of their homes and into the streets. We want to end the racial and gender discrimination that continues to divide and impoverish our nation.

We are up against some of the most powerful and ruthless corporations on the planet. We are also a global movement with people in all countries who are trying to work together for a better world.

Of course there will be people who cling to old prejudices or lack the courage to fight for what is right. They are to be pitied, victims of a cruel economic system they did not create, but feel they must defend.

When the labor movement does have successes and improves working class life, even the labor haters and the bigots share in that.

Some of them even have their eyes opened. Yes, that is possible.

when unions clean up their own ranks then we will talk... I'm sick of the unions taking money from its members and then supporting liberal democrats! I'm not a democrat, so don't give my money to them!

The teachers here are the highest paid in the country with little to show for the $$$ as far as performance. With less than a 9 percent going to college and ... Oh wait a minute I get it. Keep the masses poor to continue to fuel the golden parachute for the teachers and the union leaders. Someone has to work at non union jobs to supply them with unbelievable raises, benefits and pensions. So you are saying it is the crooked politicians why we are all broke? So if we didn't have crooked politicians we wouldn't be broke because why?? The teachers wouldn't have these gravy benefits because someone honest would stop the bleeding to the unions. Keep those signs up now so we all have it pushed in our face that you are a proud union household.
Unless you are a teacher, I don't think you should judge their job. It sounds like you have some issues - try therapy - or blood pressure medication.

Wow, chill out haters, unions, community and religious organizations fighting for the righst of all workers created decents lives for working families in the U.S. Unfortunately all those things are eroding thanks to the 1% desire to own and control all wealth.
Even worse than that is when middle income folks get angry at union members who are trying to educate us all a little.
What's wrong with being proud of your union?
How is that any different than having a chamber of commerce sign in your business window?
It makes our children proud to see the signs all over and helps restore the word union where it belongs, as part of the everyday vocabulary of people in the United States.

Unions are nothing more than a branch of the Democrat party! I am sick of unions being treated like they are special victims that need and deserve everything. unions are the problem in this country with their demands! Look at Illinois, California, New jersey, New York, Nevada, Michigan. They are all broke and have huge deficits mostly due to pension liabilities for public sector unions. Yet , the Democrats keep getting sent back to make more promises to unions to run up more insolvent debt! This isn't fair to the rest of the citezens. It's so bad, a lot of people are fleeing these states to avoid high taxes. It was never meant to be like this!

Im so sick of the pathetic fools ranting against the so-called 1%! just because you have bought into all of Obamas lies, doesnt make you a better citezen or person!I am also tired of the"were all in this together" mentality! Take care of yourself first! The government and unions are in it for themselves! Did you see the way them union thugs behaved in Michigan yesterday? What a bunch of smelly animals! Just because I work a job, I shouldnt be forced to join a union! They are politically charged! Jimmy Hoffa Jr is a PIG! Government employees should not be unionized! It puts the tax payer against the employee! FDR believed this and its true today! There are more tax payers so why do the Public sector unions always win? its because the union bosses buy the Democrat Law makers!

whatch out for pride. it is an insidious sin. it makes me sad to see all of these people advertising their sinful nature. the sign maker obviously knows his market though. most good people would be ashamed of those feelings.

My great great grandfather was one of the first union organizers .He fought for safe conditions for the workers in the mines in Pa. He was shot in the back along with other men for wanting fair working conditions and pay .The working conditions were deadly ,the pay was minimal. His name is in the history books , so I do think unions were needed to protect the working man . that being said my husband is union .He does make a good fair wage ,but the union sure does make us pay . It's become a big business , unions have a lot to do with the political atmosphere in this Country .They have become a big business , I believe to more line their pockets then ours .The union has been good to my husband wages , investment opportunities , job placement .But they sure line their pockets for these privalages .

Sure is random thought that generalizes all union workers into one pot! Faulty Ignition switches are the fault of the union, it is an engineering and parts problem. UAW Workers may install these parts, but management get the parts made to specifications and if there is faulty engineering you cannot blame the union workers. blame management for creating faulty parts and trying to use them over and over and over again. Unions may not be perfect, but they sure do try to keep America workers working, more so than many management folks that would rather see all production done off shore! You want to generalize Union workers as you put it "Fat, lazy and overpaid." then you really lump a great deal of folks into one pot, and wrongly so!! When all our products come from Asia or other countries and no one here has any jobs will folks like you be happy. Don't want to live in a country like that at all!!!

Union workers are sheep at one time in the 40's or 50's This country needed unions to keep the fat cats from abusing the workers. The Union's are like buggy whips out of date. They only suck the blood of the working joe. Unions are useless and its about time the workers wake up. union workers are slaves.

I was recently working on a new house. I am non union. I did note that all the union workers with the bricklayers, carpenters, concrete workers and electricians were Mexicans, and thru talking to them I discovered some of them were illegal. I thought the union was supposed to protect their membership from hiring these illegals while there are people who are legitimate workers sit down at the hall.
