Dr. Soss, perhaps you could better serve your keratoconus patients by pointing them in the direction of some of the newer treatments that are available to halt the progression of this disease and help the cornea assume a more normal curvature, before fitting them with custom lenses. I must say, I find your response exceedingly lacking in compassion for patients who struggle with this difficult disorder, and I would never let you anywhere near a member of my family. How many keratoconus patients are out there picking and choosing what few hours in the day they need to wear their uncomfortable contact lenses? This is not an issue of people being on a high horse demanding complete satisfaction, it is an issue of people having difficulties getting through the day with minimally acceptable vision in many cases.
