I thought Vice Mayor Dickenson was married for some time... does this mean he is a Philanderer as well?

Dickenson is a Scumbag... he is full of lies and misrepresentations... He even represented himself as a "Hospitality Consultant"... guess that is political speak for a Gin Slinger and Wife Beater!

'Domestic violence' laws are pure communist crap designed to destroy the family. Very effective.

San Mateo District Attorney and its Domestic Violence Victims Advocate are not serious about domestic violence despite their web site. Even the Board of Supervisors are tepid on enforcing domestic violence despite their strongly worded statement contained in the Human Services Agency, "Domestic Violence" web site.

Based on the two cases cited below, the Board and the DA are just pontificating to look proactive and sound good to our citizens! Consider:

Vice Mayor Dickenson, if guilty, will probably make a "lucky" deal similar to Rodney Lucks, July 14 plea. Luck is a San Diego KUSI television reporter was arrested on suspicion of battery against his girlfriend in a South San Francisco hotel, according to the Police Department. He later pled no contest and was sentence to 2 days in the county jail with credit for time served, pay restitution and ordered into a treatment program.

Then again and made a "sweetheart" deal similar to the one given to a law enforcement officer:

The negotiated plea accepted by CHP traffic Lt. Martin Joel Whited, to misdemeanor child endangerment in lieu of a plea to domestic violence after pushing his wife into a coffee table after an argument ensued, is unacceptable (“Officer pleads no contest to child endangerment” from the Jan. 9 edition of the Daily Journal). His behaviors on both counts are not refuted. The value of children’s safety is no less than the value of a wife’s safety or that of an unrelated person.

Lt. Whited negotiated his plea as a legal loophole to save his career and avoid the appropriate 10-year sanction that would have suspended his right to carry firearms. The purpose of a 10-year sanction on possession of firearms for domestic violence is due to the recurring cycles of domestic violence in relationships. Who are we to say that this officer will not lose control like so many other perpetrators?

The California Highway Patrol would be remiss not to impose a 10-year administrative sanction on Lt. Whited’s right to carry a firearm. The California Association of Highway Patrolmen, Bargaining Unit 5, should also support this suspension because his behavior occurred. We should not send a wrong message that officers are more important than the rights of non-law officers. It is also an affront to domestic violence programs, Mother’s Against Drunk Drivers, Family of Murder Victims...whose goal raised the level of law enforcement and public awareness.

Lt. Whited might find a suitable non-safety civil service position as a trainer during this suspension.

Government accountability and oversight also includes off duty activity in some cases!

Not really, Rita, I don't like spousal abuse, either, so don't get all upset.

Thanks, Jack, as usual.

My point is that there is that the communist agenda is quite subtle. The movement will use ALL aspects that will strengthen it's anti-Christ doctrine. It's not about protecting the weak, but about weakening Christianity. How? By using mass media to paint a picture of a violent husband as the norm. This is down at the level of the viewer's unconscious.

Satan has always used subtly to gain momentum.

Does the above makes sense?

Draco: It is nice to have friends, but friendship is not a requirement! My philosophy is to be respectful of people's individual differences in general term, but not to enable them to violate other people's personal property rights or right to personal safety. In that way, I think I can promote the general welfare and the laws governing our social contract; specifically in context of our nation-state contract!

I am not interested in "trading up" or "trading down" in my relationships with people. That would be self-serving and "draws a circle that shuts people out" that Edmund Markham speaks eloquently of in his poem: "He drew a circle that shut me out Heretic, rebel, a thing to flout But love and I had the wit to win; We drew a circle that took him in."

Simply because I criticize people or their behavior or bad government performance doesn't mean I wish them ill-will. I point out omissions and commission in hopes of promoting a dialogue that will break the gridlock that I see as rampant in government!

I may speak to the abusers who has no right to create fear as a means of controlling people or events when negotiation and transparency is the proper avenue to a viable solution, correcting mistakes and demonstrating accountability.

I may mock a person like Sheriff Munks and "munky money" to draw attention to his and Supervisor Jerry Hill for their ethical lapses and transparency. I point to the behavior of Vice Mayor Dickenson, if guilty, he will probably make a "lucky" deal similar to Rodney Lucks, July 14, plea to domestic violence. It also points out that the District Attorney and the Board of Supervisor's statement in the Human Services Agency are not serious about domestic violence demonstrated by the negotiated pleas offered and accepted by TV newsman Luck and CHP Lt. Whited!

I also try to be friendly, courteous and accepting to other people's friends or my wife's friends even if they are not my friends! If they want to distance themselves form me because of my views, I understand I can be controversial and opinionated in my threads... and that is OK and I am comfortable with that!

I was taught never take too much personally or seriously; it is my mantra! You may think this is BS, but I gave your question some thought!

Is he in the "early middle" or the "late middle" of the divorce? It might make a difference in knowing if he now is in the "honeymoon" phase of his cycle of violence and misadventure or in an escalating phase of a knock down dragged out fight or something worst!

Dickson might as well resign from the council -- he has too much on his plate and should start anger management classes during the council meetings and 2 more meetings a week for the next two years.

There is also more status to be gained in him getting his head screwed on right that to screw with the public's trust! I wouldn't want the stress to carry over in council chambers or his business!

It will be covered up just like sherriff munks, mayor king and the rest of Bay Area criminal city council. It will take the death of one of YOUR family members to get this drunk idiot off the streets.

Bad boy:

- Belmont’s vice mayor, accused of battering and falsely imprisoning an ex-girlfriend earlier this month, was arrested for sexual assault in May and pleaded no contest to drunken-driving charges in 2002.
