i think every dog should have a vest the dogs are out there chasing crimanals just like the officers.the dogs are doing there job and they don't even get paid at least they should have a vest.if you think of the money saved because you don't pay the dog for his work i think the dept can come up w/ the money for the vest.or each dept have a fund raiser.
i know the dogs are well taken care of and loved. they need protection too.
