Illness leads to death for 33 shelter cats

A female cat waits to be adopted at the Matanuska Susitna Borough Animal Care Facility near Palmer in mid-November. In October the facility euthanized 33 cats after they came down with an upper respiratory disease.

Hey Guys! You know Upper Respiratory disease in
Cats is treatable right? those cats should have been put on Amoxicillian for 10 days and they would have been fine again. This disease that you killed these poor cats for is equal to the human cold exect that without medicine it doesn't go away. Poor cats....killed for having the common cold.... Forget about fighting over the cage space the cats have and EDUCATE YOURSELFS ABOUT CAT DISEASES!!

poor kittys.killed for a cold? sure the public would have donated money to buy the kittys amoxicillian.sounds like someone at the shelter just dont like cats and wanted to kill a few.stupid.
