My sentiment exactly, What 15 yo anywhere plays cops and robbers. In fact do kids of any age play that anymore? So I wonder was the kid a cop or a robber and who was he playing with?

In this era of mindless violence nobody could fault the police officer for shooting first and asking questions later.

I wonder. It's become axiomatic that a police officer just has to say 'I thought he had a weapon' and he walks away from murder. Did the kid really point the toy at the officer?

Some things you just don't want to do around a cop. Like brandish a toy gun or open your glove box or sneeze.

So you are saying that if a kid, who is 15 years old by the way, points a gun at you and you shoot him that you should be sued? You should wait to see if the gun is real? Undertakers love idiots like you. Stupid actions result in serious consequences.

that means one false move and youve had it boy. they sure protect lives of citizens, theirs. be carefull if you get stopped for traffic violation, the cops who stops you actually unfastened their holster for action so no muscle twist nervous or anything.

At 15 you would think he would know better than to point even a toy gun at the pole-lease.

yeah umm i'd like to know where were the other kids that were supposedly playing cops and robbers, and why would the kid point the gun at a cop? also, didn't they pass a law that toy guns cannot be identical to real guns, ie plastic neon colors and stuff like that or big orange parts if they are black? i'd really like to see the gun

And you think that comes from what - too many being shot dead. Why do you think in some places a shot-gun is aimed at the back of your head by his partner on a traffic stop. Get a clue ok. There are alot of sick criminals out there - even if you aren't one of them and most times a cop has a family to come home to just like you.

At 15 years of age he knew better than to point "ANYTHING" that resembles a gun at a Police Officer.
At least incidents like this help CULL the heard of the VERY STUPID! He's probably a Gangbanger. Now he's been initiated into the The Bicycle Bozos!

There is no motive for a policeman to murder a citizen. This ruined the policeman's year, and maybe his life.

He has a split second to decide:
Life or Death....Him or ME?

It is terrible to second guess an officer placed in this predicament. There will be an investegation; and any lawsuits should be based on that.

Yes, there will be an official cover up. The boy will be made out to be a criminal. The pig will stay on the force and citizens will be murdered at random for years to come.
Split second desicion?Maybe. Dead kid? Yes.
The pig is a murderer. No legal-speak will change that.

LA County sheriff's deputies are among the best trained police officers in the country.
The standards for acceptance into their academy also are among the toughest.
Something tells me you could never qualify.

I think htere may be more to this story. The boy soulds like he could be a "special needs" child. I feel sorry for the cop, and sorry for the kid.

Just another wingnut exercising his second amendment "rights." Probably did the world a favor by getting rid of a future wingnut who would exercise his second amendment "rights" in the same way all those violent, criminal, fringe kooks do.
