TOLEDO, Ohio -- The leader of an Amish breakaway group in Ohio who was convicted in a series of beard- and hair-cutting attacks is asking a federal judge for a light sentence.

Mullet faces up to life in prison when he's sentenced next week in Cleveland, but his attorney is asking for a sentence of 18 months to two years.
