A giant sunspot that's at least six times the diameter of Earth has formed on the sun in less than 48 hours, according to NASA.

So what? Haven't the global climate "scientists" been telling us for decades that changes in the sun have virtually nothing to do with Earth's climate? Don't you believe in consensus? I mean, how could a ball of fusing hydrogen 1,300,000 the size of Earth with a coronal temperature of 4,000,000K+ possibly have more impact on the climate than the kind of lightbulb you use in your house?

You donít have enough information to be discussing this, a sunspot is a cooler spot on the sun, not a hotter spot.

The solar maximum should be passed this year, but the 9-14 year cycle historically has no real correlation to the registered temperature changes that have been recorded as continuing to rise over the last 100 years. This is misinformation that is spread by those that have a political purpose, not a scientific one .

You need to find people that have less knowledge on the subject, the ignorant, that is your constituency

You donít have enough information to be discussing this. The sunspot quickly evolved into an unstable configuration and could lead to solar flares, Nasa warns. Which could endanger Earth-orbiting satellites, temporary loss of electrical power over a large region. The stream of energetic particles warms the thermosphere. Carbon dioxide and nitrogen oxide, coolants in the thermosphere, absorb the energy and then re-radiate heat back into space. A small fraction of the extra heat from the solar flare radiates to layers of the atmosphere below the thermosphere.

Your misinformation is spread by those that have a political purpose, not a scientific one. Solar flares are not a cooler spot. You are wrong.

True, it shows how little we are and how changing a light bulb will not make a difference.

Your problem is that you are re-posting stuff that other people are telling you, that you donít understand.

Now granted it worked with you because you are totally ignorant on the subject, and it will work with others that are desirous of the political outcome you are misrepresenting science to achieve.

But it is not going to work on anyone of any education at all

Sunspots are caused by magnetic anomalies

the reason they appear darker is because they are cooler

"Although they are at temperatures of roughly 3000Ė4500 K (2727Ė4227 įC), the contrast with the surrounding material at about 5,780 K (5,510 įC) leaves them clearly visible as dark spots"

the problem is you mention how hot they are, but you donít mention the temperatures around them.

You are being fooled by people that have a political agenda that tell you part of the truth, but leave out the important facts

admit you were wrong and then we can move on

Sunspot spots cause solar flares according to NASA. the Sun is currently reaching the peak of its 11-year solar cycle. The Solar Dynamics Observatory was launched by NASA in 2010. The observatory spacecraft is just one of many alerting NASA to signs of solar flares, or coronal mass ejections.

One of the biggest concerns surrounding solar flares is the ability the storms have to take down our antiquated power grid. If a massive solar flare is directed at Earth, the fiscal destruction could be legendary. Both NASA and NOAA experts estimate the potential damage of such a direct hit would be in the trillions.
Solar flares can reach up to 10 or 20 million degrees Kelvin.

ST. LOUIS (AP)- Blinding snow, at times accompanied by thunder and lightning, bombarded much of the nation's midsection Thursday, causing whiteout conditions, shutting down large swaths of interstate highways and forcing schools, businesses and even state legislatures to close.

Kansas was the epicenter of the winter storm, with parts of the state buried under 14 inches of powdery snow, but winter storm warnings stretched from eastern Colorado through Illinois. Freezing rain and sleet were forecast for southern Missouri, southern Illinois and Arkansas. St. Louis received all of the above - a treacherous mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain.

Ricardo you just another idiot mexican with a alcohol and drug habit probably racketeering in some diseased wannabe group.-- Mans emissions have absolutely nothing to do with global warming. Volcano emissions are 5,000,000 times more than any human's emissions could ever be. There is global warming but human emissions have nothing to do with it. Solar power can absolutely devastate out environment. In order to do solar power correctly you need a "battery bank" or a "battery pile" -- a large amount of batteries that require lots sulfuric acid etc. which really hard to deal with and expensive to dispose of. If alot people have these 'battery pile's" our environment would be contaminated especially with drug and alcohol addiction and health, transportation problems. Battery acid takes 20 years to work out of our environment and devastates the insect and bird population-- which is everything - we die also. Fossil fuels work out of the environment in 2 years.

The "tesla" energy cause's atmospheric conditions like the "red rains of kerala" in which the tesla coils positively charged the some of the ions in our atmosphere, causing the some of our atmosphere or gravity to be "less" due to anti-matter and matter and the north and south poles. Causing "matter" to be lifted up in our atmosphere, then returning back to our surface to burn up due to the friction-- causing a black , brown or red rain to fall etc.--

Einstein and Metz had it out with Tesla in a scientific court and won due to atmospheric problems tesla was causing i.e.-- Tesla was shut down after using his Colorado dam to do a experiment to thwart meteorites in future -- his experiment came out in russia and flattened a 100 square mile area!!!

Ricardo if the Human race had some kind of "other" energy source etc. we would be using it.

Albert Gore and his environmental group were a giant waste of time.

Your "global warming" is probably some sick racist get back at your inadequacies at the white race.
