AGAIN, you at the local bird-cage liner get it all wrong. Your take on the Tea Parties was, poor Obama getting picked on by a bunch of right-wing terrorists.
You'll soon be following the New York Times into bankruptcy court. Good Riddance.

Just say NO, with courage, to obama's marxist socialism. America, wake up...our country is being destroyed from within, Read your history books; look at what is being done TO us.....be brave....be wise...so much is at stake if this government takes away our liberties. Do not cooperate. Resist.

This tea party should of been held when Bush was in office....the war, the bank bail out, the bonuses.... not when Obama is trying to straighten things out.. A day late and a dollar short....

Curious, just what do you mean by socialism?
Is it revamping the health care system? That should of been done years ago.. other countries are laughing at us... Socialism... illegals get free health care at the working class expense and they can't get the same care....50 percent of all bankrupcies are due to lack of affortable healthcare insurance.
Just what do you mean socialism?

I find it very humerous that when all of this started the same people were crying because the governement wouldnt do this. I also think its funny that people are saying let all these companies go under. If all these companies go under than all those people will lose jobs. It would increase the unemployment rate probably by 2%-3% from what it currently is. DEAL with it. IT is NOT a long term thing. If companies knew how to run themselves and didnt have useless spending the gov. would never had to step in in the first place. SO grow up and do something that will actually help the economy instead of complaining about how someone is trying to fix it

I have to laugh at the Tea Parties, it's like the Klan show up at a NAACP rally. This is hard core, arian race blue eyes that still think that GB did a great job. Bush spend more money than any president in history, but like the New American Way he used borrowed money.

"If you are not mad, you are not paying taxes" summarizes the current state of affairs. Unfortunately only 50% of our citizens still pay taxes. The other 50% include the dolts and dimwits that put Rendell and Obama in office. Things are not looking good for the hard working people who assume responsibility in life; the lazy who are dependent upon big government and self serving politicians are in the drivers seat now. Obama made 2.7M last year, just another self-serving politico.

you peole are so annoying. Obama has been office less than 100 days. He has done more to stabilize our economy than Bush did. Obama is taking our country's taxing aback to an era where the government had a surplus. For all you idiots that think the mess left behind by the last administration can be fixed over night you are crazy.

The majority of our country did not prosper from Bush policy. He started the push to get low income people into home ownership, Bush pushed people to put their money and retirement into the high risk markets so stop blaming the heir of the mess and blame the pigs like Bush and Cheney (AKA war monger twins). Iraq put our country over the edge. Rmember all the corruption with Bush/Cheney no bid contracts that were charging thousands for things that cost a few dollars. Bush/Cheney blame them.
To all you right wing conservatives get the stick out it is much more fun to play nicely with other like we all learned in Kindergarten.

Ah yes, the old democratic strategy of class warfare. Its angry republicans who are rich and don't want to pay more taxes. NO you fools, these protests, based on everything I read or heard, were just average american's that are fed up with the spending that has occured over the past 5 or so years by both democrats and republicans. Taxes are a part of it. When 50 percent of the people who pay taxes support the 50 percent who don't the people are getting fed up. Its not the rich, as defined by your party, its independents like myself who are not rich, who are getting fed up at political efforts to bail out failed banks and companies, bail out fools who bought a home they knew they could not afford, or purchased interest cards that charge excessive interest rates because they either could not read the documents they were signing or they were ignorant.

How dare you elitest snobs believe that its just angry right wing zealots. Many people I know who attended one or more parties would be surprised to know your view of them since they voted for Obama. Instead of calling people names why don't you try and understand their frustrations.

To Tarnished Sheba:
Where in the world did you get your facts from--the Huffington Post or MSNBC. If you believe that socialized medicine will solve this crisis you and the rest of your loons are crazy and ignore facts. Canada has a health care system very similar to OBama's proposal. FACT1: The entire population pays a higher percentage of their taxes to the national goverment that in the U.S. FACTS 2: There is a shortage of doctors because the government rations the health care, as documented by Canadian studies. FACT 3: Canadians come to the U.S. for their health care because they get it faster and the quality of health care is better, as documented by Canadian Surveys.

Oh, lets take England. FACTS: Like Canada, the Brits pay excessive taxes. People get, what is commonly recognized by the Brits themselves, as poor to very poor health care.

I don't hear one liberal democrat who proposes this solution as wanting their family to live under the same policies as the average american will.

This crisis you fool is caused by both parties who spend, spend, spend, and tax, tax, tax. Read the CBO analysis of your messiah's stimulus plan and his proposed spending increases. It skewers them. And by the way the CBO is a non[partisan office who works for the congress.

I assume all you people who are complaining about 'socialism' have declined Medicare and Social Security?
Wouldn't want to look hypocritical by accepting these 'social' programs, after all.

Lie #3: 40% of Americans pay no taxes.

Alas, they do pay for them. As FactCheck among others noted, Republican conveniently ignore sales, excise and most of all, payroll taxes. Starting with the first dollar they earn, virtually all American workers pay the 6.2% Social Security tax (on income up to $97,000) and another 1.45% for Medicare. An analysis by the Tax Policy Center concluded, "three quarters of filers pay more in payroll taxes than in income taxes."

That millions of hard working American families pay no income taxes is due in large measure to the Earned Income Tax Credit. Created in 1975, the EITC "a refundable federal income tax credit for low-income working individuals and families" that results in a tax refund to those who claim and qualify for the credit when the EITC exceeds the amount of taxes owed. As the Center for Budget and Policy Priorities detailed in 2005, the EITC has not only been extremely successful in reducing poverty, it has enjoyed broad bipartisan support. None other than Ronald Reagan called it, "the best anti-poverty, the best pro-family, the best job creation measure to come out of Congress."

As a new Gallup poll released today suggests, the American people seem to agree. In the wake of the new Obama tax cuts, Gallup found, "more say low-income Americans paying fair share of taxes."

You tea party "protesters" are a joke. Where were you when Bush was increasing the national deficit by three-fold (with the help of Congress)? Did you not realize our taxes would be increased to pay for his wars and poor management? Give me a break. You are the first to sign up for unemployment and disability when your life takes an unexpected turn for the worse, which makes you participants of socialism. The whole lot of you are a bunch of hypocritical, anti-patriotic losers.

This had nothing to do with policy or taxes. It is just the right's way of saying that they don't like Obama. They are still whining about losing the election. Since their "leaders" have no leadership ability, what else can they do. It's sad that their "leaders" are Limbballs, O'Reilly and Hannity- i.e. "Talking Heads". Those three alone were enough for me to become a Democrat.

Why didn't these people crawl out of the wood work a long time ago?
Bush tripled the national debt, Sold 24% of our country to China & another 24% to Japan by borrowing from them to pay for his war. They didn't care about their grand kids then why now?

I think people are afraid. I think the same people who got us in this mess, the richest 1% of the population, are now trying to whip up the protests against the guy who does not look like you. It must be his fault. He's probably giving all your money to 'his' people. All I know is my paycheck got bigger this month because of Obama. How is that a bad thing? If you lost a job, its most likely due to policies that were in effect under Bush. No gun laws have changed since he took office. But if you ask me, something should be done about automatic weapons. You don't need them to shoot deer. And all this talk about secession. Really? Wahhhh! My guy didn't win so I'm taking my toys and leaving home! So let me get this straight, if the far right is in power, we should shut up and be good patriots. If the center-left is in power, we should rise up, leave the union, or overthrow? Do me a favor, please leave, but find your own place to live, because this land is American.
