Senior citizens joining together to ask state legislators to freeze property taxes

In the days following an appearance by Easton Area School Board members at a meeting of the Palmer Area chapter of AARP , President Mary Jane Long says that some in her seniors group are joining a statewide movement asking state legislators to pass a property tax freeze for senior citizens.
I guess if it were talking about freezing or slowing medicare the seniors would feel different. Taxes are going up and when on a fixed income it is hard. I understand this. But shifting to working families the tax increases is not the answer.
