Council woman Elinor Warner sounds like an idiot. Since when does public safety have anything to do with "johns" don't they usually keep a low profile to avoid arrest and humiliation? Worry more about the gangs. No I'm not a prostitute.

So, what you're saying is that it is OK for the "pros" to be arrested, have material items confiscated, have their names published, etc., but that we should look the other way when it comes to the "johns"? It's been that way for decades, and it is about time that the "gander" shares in some of the consequences that befall the "goose". It isn't like the gentlemen did not know that the city was going to start doing this, it had been published in both this paper and the EY. Maybe they thought that the fact that they were using someone else's car would exempt them from arrest. The feormer POLICE CHIEF just should have known better. It wasn't legal when he ws chief, and that certainly hasn't changed. And the fact that he used to be a chief gives him no special privileges.

DID you ever stop to think that some of these women may be working the streets to support a drug habit or finance a gang members need to purchase and supply their clients with drugs? Making an arrest of these women and the johns is possibly the first step in the link to irradicate the drug and/or gang infiltration of this city. And do you want our young kids being witness to this "making an easy buck" without fear of reprisal? I say thank you to the police for trying to clean up our streets of any crime, no matter how small aome of you may think it is.

What about the diseases that the JOHNS bring home to their wife, girlfriend, ect. and if they get HIV and/or pass it onto the wife/girlfriend the medical expense that might be pass on to the taxpayers!

It can be a serious crime.

How can the punishment fit if my 2008 Mercedes is seized and the next night my neighbors 1980 Ford pinto is seized? And i agree with the above post. Why aren't the Ho's cars seized? If they don't have one they should never be allowed welfare, or medical assistance again. Ever. Kids or no kids. Lets make it fair. Oh wait. We would be punishing her illegitimate kids than. Well what what about my legitimate kids who have soccer practice, games, football and cheerleading? And they need a ride because we live on back, winding roads? Names published with their address like everyone else.

This is so simple to fix folks. Give the johns a choice and it goes like this. Get a big butcher block of wood and set there keys for there ride on one side and then have them put there DEVICE up on the table NEXT to the MEAT CLEAVER and ask them what will it be the KEYS or THE CLEAVER to chop off there DICK. See they now are responsible for there actions PROBLEM solved.

The main problem I see is that the property is taken before trial. For most crimes, if you're found innocent, you get to resume your life. Even if you go to jail before trial, there must be an appearance before a judge and (usually) a chance for bail. In this case, the johns could lose their jobs and then later be found innocent!

just be glad you don't live in Finland. Traffic tickets are based on your income. If you make the big bucks you can get a $40,000 speeding fine.

Here's one where a guy got a $103,000 ticket for going 46.5 mph in a 30mph zone.

AGREED! And - the 'johns' aren't profiting profiting from this 'crime'. Also - for those of you out there who may or may not know this: Its only a crime when money is exchanged, or an agreement of money being exchanged. Its not the act itself. Had she given it away, it would not be considered criminal.

Take their cars!! Spare their wives from the diseases they being home while 'touring' the city for sex.
Without their cars how far would they be willing to WALK and where would they get their 'carseat' sex?? The cars suit the same purpose as a bed to play around in. Without their cars they would not ave anything else to polish.
