"keith wasnt a bad driver it was just a wrong place wrong time thing.
he was going fast but still he didnt deserve this and neither did todd"

I've been reading this forum for a while, it's very sad, to see all the anger.
Honey, you don't have to be a bad driver to get in a wreck, I'm sure Keith was a fine driver, it could happen to anyone, and no, they did not deserve this! You are so right! This was a terrible chain of events that happened.

It is so sad to see all the angry posts here, and to see the few kids I know so torn up over losing their friends, and seeing their pictures in the paper, especially along with the little one that drowned all on the same page, it made me cry. They seemed like two wonderful young men with quite a bright future. I think it is very heartbreaking for everyone, this is a huge thing that happened, and nothing, nothing, can change what happened that day, not any what-ifs, or whose fault, or anything. Yes, I understand, we are all glad they didn't kill us, but they didn't do this because they wanted to die. I wish it didn't happen, but it did. It is so terrible, it is hard to think of. I think instead of arguing about it, everyone should be praying for their friends, family, etc. Perhaps that would be a better use of energy. If you know them, send a card, give a hug, etc. I don't know them, but I certainly thought of them the whole week, and prayed for the families on the day of the funeral, and I think about them every time I drive by the area. They are going to have to live without these two wonderful boys for the rest of their lives, how do you think they feel? Just try for a minute to put yourself in their parents' shoes, and these kids, their friends, are experiencing something nobody should ever have to experience, especially at their ages. They have to start school tomorrow, they should be in our thoughts. Those guys should be here today, but they're not, I wish they had lived, they would probably tell everyone to be careful out there and slow down! Then we could be reading that on here. But they didn't live, and it sounds like from them being so well-loved, that they would want to look down and see that everyone has learned a lesson and change their ways so they didn't die in vain, what if everyone tries to honor their memories by being a safer driver?

And no, there is no right place or time for going that fast, you should never be speeding! If you want to drive that fast, please just become a race car driver. It sounds like these two young men would have wanted us all to learn a lesson, it seems they would want everyone to remember them fondly and not to have this happen to anyone else. Let's remember them and also their friends and family, and take all the lessons everyone is posting, and use those lessons learned in their honor.

Rte 100 should lower its speed limits and create dotted line passing zones for those who want to go faster It wont stop accidents but it will help. I saw the memorial, the skid marks go on forever. Someone that drives that fast is usually in the habit of doing so its just sad the lesson he had to learn was so severe and finite. Maybe a little warning would have worked a little nudge from god to say hey man whats the hurry but maybe there were warnings who knows. Trucks are notiorious for being unsafe and wreek havoc almost whever they go wether its left lane driving too slow or not pulling over up steep inclines so traffic gets backed up for a mile. Anyway its too late for these boys who I didnt know but know their families pain.

My prayers go out to the family and friends left behind to mourn these 2 boys - I am truly sorry for your lost. Your boys were well loved in your community - they will be truly missed and not forgotten.
I was with a upper perk jr on mondy afternoon who just found out that these two lifelong friends had died. If I could I would have done anything to take her pain away. This is her first experience with losing someone close to her. I saw her again on wednesday night and she told me more about the accident. These kids know what happened to these two boys - they know that the speeding was wrong. Stop beating them over the head with this information. Now is the time for them to mourn the lose of thier close friends and school mates.
It angers me that these kids were driving that fast. It angers me that this little girl has to go through something like this. It angers me that the adults posting on this site - keep talking about seeing these kids speed. You should have done something about it. Called the police - acted like adults and make efforts to control the situation. I live down in green lane - we have a neighbor who is a teenage boy - who has no respect for himself, his family or any of the neighbors. He drives like a mad man. Here is his mother watching him pull out of his driveway - wheels screeching - cheering him on. She is the adult - she needs to step in and take his car away. She didn't so we got the state police on his back - after a number of tickets - no more screeching tires, loud music, ect...
It takes a village to raise a child. Where are all the adults - police - etc.. Todd and Keith's parents could not control thier kids actions when outside of thier homes. I am sure that they taught them right from wrong. Teenages crave attention, relish freedom, acceptance from thier peers but also need adult supervision and intervention from the whole adult community. Take the responsibility. Todd and Keith are angels now - watching over all of the valley. Boys and girls, learn from them, love and remember them. Take care of yourselves and each other. You aren't supermen/woman you are not invincable. Be safe.
thanks so much for writing this it means a lot unlike other ignorant f**** who say they deserved to die.
i miss them so much and people saying that shit is not helping you need to go to hell if your happy they died cause they were speeding or whatever.

According to a vehicle stopping distance calculator on the web, 384 feet of skid marks indicate a vehicle speed of over 95 mph at the start of braking. To not stop and have enough speed left to take the wheels off of a truck,'high rate of speed' is an understatement.
THE SKID MARKS WERENT EVEN 100 FEET!! would you stop talking bad about him, it wasnt his fault, it wasnt todds fault, and it wasnt the truck drivers fault!!
JUST SHUT UP ABOUT IT!! it already happened, there is nothing u can do to change it!

and by the way...

if anybody should be feeling bad about anything right now, it should be todds family!! his parent had a beer party with the money that was suppost to be split between both familys!! so dont say anything about keith or his family!! todds family are the ones taking things that are suppost to belong to the both of them!!

I remember Keith for all the great things that he did. Anybody who has a problem him should shove it. You don't realize how good of a person he is. If you didn't know him you don't belong on this forum

I miss my boyfreind more than anything. I know they should have slowed down but you don't think for a min something like that could happen to you. I am jealous now because they are in heaven with god and i am stuck in this shithole of a life with all you people who think you are so much better than everybody else. You are not the one to judge, those boys loved to drive fast and now we have to pay for their misjudgement. I will never ever forget the day that changed my life forever. You guys are rediculous. I love you Toddy, always and forever in my heart. Rest in Peace KeithyK, you were always there for me. Just like when I called you monday.
