This is the worst recession since the great depression so naturally the citizens are concerned. we may well be spending more than the three million dollars proposed for the new station. the belleair bluffs commission states that this is less expensive than remodeling the standing station on indian rocks road. really? we need to know because the new fire station will probably cost more. It is to be located across from our park and playground.is this a safe location? additionally, the belleair bluffs commission states we want to get out of the fire station business. So, by building a fire station in our town we guarantee we will be out of the fire station business?
Let's put it on the ballot this november and give the citizens a chance to express their preference. Let's keep the citizens informed by placing fire station information from each meeting on the town web page, too.
