It's obvious that it wasn't because she was a lesbian that she failed to win. Anyone with eyes can see she was also extremely ugly to look at, and that's what gets my goat!

Hello.

I'm the secretary/treasurer for the organization Ugly People of Long Beach. We are here to put spotlights on the discrimination against ugly people for employment, shelter, and many singles websites. Our numbers are legion. We also have some POWERFUL local members in our organization (Hi Tim! Hi Bob! Hi Suja!), so we're not to be taken lightly.

We URGE our Jenelle Evyn Hutcherson, not only to pledge our chapter for a fast-tracking towards her membership, not only increase awareness of ugly discrimination, but also to carry on the fight against "beauty patents" which continue to discriminate against the fat and/or ugly in our city. We feel your pain, Jenelle. When we saw your picture, we immediately knew we are one of you. You are one of us.

You need to grow UP, get counselling for your obvious homophobia, and get a life. Move out of mommy's doublewide.

I agree she is hideous looking. If someone stuck her face in my living room window at night, I think I'd just curl up and die. I don't think I'd even scream. I'd just give up.
But the fact does remain that many of us are more ugliphobic than we'd like to admit, and don't really acknowledge that we are oppressing others, simply because looking at them makes up throw up in our mouths a little.
Thanks, Ms. Hutcherson, and thanks UPLB, for making me think about something I was doing that I took for granted, even though it was probably right she didn't win, because, good lord. good lord. she's pretty foul.

I would think that becoming a contender in such a contest automatically opens one up to judgement on their looks. However, I don't find her ugly or hideous, or even plain. I find her quite good-looking, and applaud her for her courage.

And of course, 2 of the above posters are just here to make trouble. Best to ignore them and not reply.

Kudos to the guy from St. Louis! Anybody who's been in a stopover at the St. Louis airport knows there are amazing looking babes aplenty there, and that makes Ralph a qualified expert on amazing looking women.
I also humbly consider myself a connoisseur of the beauty set, and fully concur that she is SMOKIN'!!! The most beautiful woman I've seen since the accident! Both her eyes are open and working and she looks like she can move her neck!
You go girl!

Changing you moniker and giving yourself complimentary icons does nothing to bolster your image. And yes, we do have good looking women in St. Louis, as do all other cities in this country. And no, I am not an expert on good-looking women, but I know what I like. There are all sorts of attributes that make women attractive, as well as men. And I have lived long enough to know that if one goes around judging others by their looks, the person doing the judging is usually not so attractive themselves.

I don't understand. There are a lot of really cute lesbians around. Why would the lesbian people put up someone who they knew would lose?
Wouldn't it make more sense for their person to win? Why guarantee yourself to lose??? What are the lesbians trying to do?
