What a coward I hope he loses his job

I believe this individual will lose all and any Florida licensure, including his driving if convicted of one or more felonies.
I do not quite understand why the defendant did not accept a negotiated plea to limit the amount of time he will most certainly spend in a state prison.
Video evidence is very challenging for s defense attorney as most juries view it as compelling eyewitness testimony. It is a difficult case for even the most competent attorneys. Most of these video documented cases result in a conviction as demonstrated in many previous prosecutions.
The hulking size of the defendant is in itself a key factor, as well. Jurors have children, grandchildren and they can just imagine this huge stature of man beating upon the much smaller child, at least in my opinion.

I stopped in and sat in court today and listened to some of the testimony. I had business in the courthouse.
The testimony of the victim was very compelling, had the jury's full attention. Gary, has a great lawyer but it is simply just to big of a hill to climb.
Really hope she does not put the defendant on the stand in lieu of what I heard and saw today. Of course, it is not over until its over, at least in some cases.

The defendant has been convicted on several charges, 3 for felony aggravated child abuse.
While I applaud attorney Changs efforts regarding an appeal, it is important to understand that most first level appeals are not successful.
Less than 2% result in complete acquittal, about 6% reversible error, a new trial and about 7% for re sentencing. This is a straight forward no BS case. The judge and jury got it right. The defendant has no place to go on reversible error.
I agree with the State Attorney, the defendant just does not understand the seriousness of what he has done or the consequences. He just does not STILL get it. This should be of great concern to the court.

The man should sign up for a anger management class.

Too late Davey, may be mandatory in prison that he completes such a course. I do not know how other inmates will view him and I suspect he will be challenged to many fights with inmates his size and bigger.
A lot of those guys are really tough, street fighters and gang members. He should be in a protective custody unit given the aggravated child abuse reputation that will follow him.

Inmates often abuse or even murder pedophiles if they can get their mitts on them.
He likely won't get killed but hey, good luck dude. Gang men aren't uncommonly family men, they catch wind of that and you'll want to start praying.
