Lib progressives idolize the UN.

That's why Ocommie and Holder file complaints against the states to the UN.

American sovereignity? Ha! Libs' hatred for "evil America" is exceeded only by their self-loathing.

Americans are sick of this sh!t.

Dissolve the UN. Have grown so tired of the USA's involvment throughout the world.

The USA intervenes and then spends the rest of the time supporting those countries we've intervened in.

Tired of it.

Just look at what happened to the British colonizations; the USA had to help out and now we've taken on that ridiculous roll.

Our government is out of control with domestic programs that further complicate instead of simplify our lives.

That amount in 2009 made up for several years of not paying our dues to the UN.
The regular yearly amount is more like $516 million. A lot of money,
but nothing near the $6.3 billion you mention. Obviously you got
that from the Heritage Foundation of some other UN-hating RW propaganda mill.
Actually, no, it isn't from some UN hating propaganda mill.

It is directly from the White House report to Congress.

Try 'Totals by Agency'

Then you can take your liberal U.N. loving rhetoric to a place where you might find some sympathy for your anti-American views.

In a number of posts over the years, I have questioned our membership in the UN. A similar organization, called the "League of Nations" was proposed after World War I but Congress declined to permit the US to participate on the grounds that it was unconstitutional. While initiated with high hopes and a large element of altruism, the organization failed to stop the unleashing of the "dogs of war" that eventually embroiled us in World War II.

How the thinking that the "League of Nations" was unconstitutional turned into constitutionally sanctioned participation in the UN is beyond me. It was incorporated before I was born so I have no recollection of its inception. However, we bear most of the costs for its existence and it is actually amusing to see how few of its "sanctions" or other policies actually have any impact. To me, it has become a forum for petty dictators from terrorist nations to bash the US.

When talking about slashing government debt, politicians need to reconsider UN membership and foreign aid and put them at the top of the "to-do" list. Then Congress needs to publish the amount and reason for loans to companies like Solyndra, subsidized by taxpayers. But that's another story.

Both George Washington's Farewell Speech to the nation and the Monroe doctrine warn against entanglements with foreign nations. At the present time the UN is being propped up by US money and many of its military operations are made possible through the appropriation of our young people and the equipment we can provide.

I do not believe that the US can survive in a vacuum but I also do not believe we should be part of what has become a corrupt and self-serving tool of those who favor global government. Specific treaties with allied nations are all that we really need. The UN as it exists is simply the middle man that siphons US servicemen and treasure from us and utilizes them for operations that the American people may not necessarily agree with but are forced to accept.

It would be a tremendous savings to just walk away from the UN, make our alliancces and treaties with selected nations and let the delegates squabble among themselves, since this seems to be the major activity there anyway.

The democRATS and the U.N. are of the same mindset.
The UN approves everything Hussein Obama does.

The following is a narrative taken from a 2008 Sunday morning televised "Meet The Press."

From Sunday's 07 Sept. 2008 11:48:04 EST, Televised "Meet the Press" THE THEN Senator Obama was asked about his stance on the American Flag.

General Bill Ginn' USAF (ret.) asked Obama to explain WHY he doesn't follow protocol when the National Anthem is played.

The General stated to Obama that according to the United States Code, Title 36, Chapter 10, Sec. 171...

During rendition of the national anthem, when the flag is displayed, all present (except those in uniform) are expected to stand at attention facing the flag with the right hand over the heart. Or, at the very least, "Stand and Face It."

'Senator'Obama replied:

"As I've said about the flag pin, I don't want to be perceived as taking sides". "There are a lot of people in the world to whom the American flag is a symbol of oppression.." "The anthem itself conveys a war-like message. You know, the bombs bursting in air and all that sort of thing."

Obama continued: "The National Anthem should be 'swapped' for something less parochial and less bellicose. I like the song 'I'd Like To Teach the World To Sing'. If that were our anthem, then, I might saluteit. In my opinion, we should consider reinventing our National Anthemas well as 'redesign' our Flag to better offer our enemies hope andlove. It's my intention, if elected, to disarm America to the level of acceptanceto our Middle East Brethren. If we, as a Nation of warring people, conduct ourselves like the nations of Islam, where peace prevails --- perhaps astate or period of mutual accord could exist between our governments ...."
When I become President, I will seek a pact of agreement to end hostilities between those who have been at war or in a state of enmity, and a freedom from disquieting oppressive thoughts. We as a Nation, have placed upon the nations ofIslam, an unfair injusticewhich is WHY my wife disrespects the Flag and she and I have attended several flag burning ceremonies in the past."

"Of course now, I have found myself about to become the President of the United States and I have put my hatred aside. I will use my power to bring CHANGE to this Nation, and offer the people a new path..My wife and I look forward to becoming our Country's First black Family. Indeed, CHANGE is about to overwhelm the United States of America."

Yes, you read it right.

I, for one, am speechless!!!

Nothing could be further from the truth.

Let's go backward in time until we can find a conflict between the majority of the members of the UN and the USA, oh yes, the very last thing of significance they voted on, the UNESCO vote.

My God, just reading what the President said about America, our anthem, and our flag makes me sick to my stomach. What a POS. And this information was available in 2008? I never heard it, but I will never help elect a person, any person that hates this country. This information must be made available to every one in America. No wonder he, and his wife have done everything to disrespect our country. They need to find a country more to their liking. Some Communist country.

There is no way to defend Obama against his hatred for America, and everything she stands for. It is good that he has only a few monrgs left. We all need to take care in who we elect to represent this wonderful country. Any one of the Republicans show more respect for America then this pitiful excuse for a President does.

From the resident scholar at the American Enterprise Institute, A CONSERVATIVE THINK TANK:

"Charges of radicalism, socialism, retreat and surrender are BIZARRE."

"The stimulus was ANYTHING BUT RADICAL--indeed, many mainstream observers, me included, thought it was too timid in size and scope...

"Nonetheless, it has been widely credited with ameliorating the worst effects of the downturn and HELPING TO MOVE US BACK TOWARD ECONOMIC GROWTH.

"Obama's approach to terrorism has been similar to Bush's, while MORE AGGRESSIVELY TARGETING LEADERS OF TERRORIST GROUPS.

"Looking at the range of Obama domestic and foreign polities, and his agency and diplomatic appointments, the conclusion is clear:

Then you explain why he shows this country such disresprct. We have been more then generous to the countries all over the world, and all he does is apologize. He hates America. He hates our flag, our anthem. He has no loyalty to this country, and if you think we haven+'t noticed, You ae crazy. However the day is coming when we can show him how much loyalty he has earned from Americans
