Looks like LE has botched up the case on Haleigh.
It sure shows they don't know what they are doing. Why is the FBI not in on this case?

I have also wondered why the FBI is not involved. LE sure needs some help on this case. The FBI will break MISTY! I would like to be a fly on that wall.

Lack of the FBI's involvement is not helping find this little girl. LE really should swallow some pride and concede that they really need the help.

FBI can't help unless certain criteria is met. Such as kidnapping or crossing state lines I think but where are the State Police? County sheriffs just aren't trained for this and won't admit it.

Hi Kaligirlsam...IMO...how do they know she wasn't kidnapped? Not saying I think that, but I just wonder how they can not use FBI if this criteria is unknown?

What they need to do is make Misty tell the damn truth. That what needs to be done. It doesn't matter what LE agancy is involed or not involed cause if they don't have the information they need no one and I mean no one will be able to find her. I hope she is alive but I think she was killed. I don't believe she overdosed but I do believe Misty or one of her friends did something to her and she is dead and they just hid the body. Another Casey Anthony story. I saw last night that Ron is filing divorce. I still don't know why he would have married that damn b#tch anyway.

I think it's absolutely amazing how many of you are still scratching your heads and trying to figure out why the police can't seem to get a handle on this one.
Does everyone honestly believe that Misty has the intelligence to baffle your entire police force?
Why wouldn't the local police want the FBI or the state police involved? Could it be that they have something to hide themselves?
When the letter surfaced explaining that Haleigh had died from an overdose of ocycontin, the police were quick to say - pay no attention to that information,
"Deputies said they knew about the letter and its contents before it was released to the public.

However, they said the letter is not the reason they drained the pond this past weekend.

"Absolutely not. This was a totally separate tip that we got and we were searching for specific evidence," Ryan said.

Deputies said they did not find any evidence. In fact, they said they are moving on to other clues in hopes of finding the 6-year-old missing now for eight months.

”Anything that was in that letter we've already ... we're not naïve. We already looked into it, so it's insignificant to us, the letter is at this point," Ryan said"

are you crazy? You think the police are going to release everything they know or all the evidence to the public? Now you are questioning if the police are involed are you freaking nuts?

What is the FBI going to do any different then LE now? How do you know that the FBI has not already been called in and are helping and you just don't know cause LE doesn't want you to know?

I don't know how that skank has been getting away with it but she is. It is all going to come down crashing down on her. She sure and the hell cant pass lie detector tests can she?

Years ago, there was a case in IN in which a child was killed by meth cooks. This happened in a small, rural town with a 3 man police squad. This town, much like Satsuma, was a drug infested craphole.
Although the police knew immediately where to go to get answers concerning this child's fate, they were unable to arrest the actual perps. Had they done so, the meth cooks would have been quick to point out these cops involvement in the area drug trade.
In order to cover their tails, the cops made preposterous claims, and appeared ignorant throughout the investigation.
Gee, kind of looks like what you have going on here.
I think that drugs play into this child's disappearance in some way. Whether it be that Ron snitched on someone, owed someone money, or Haleigh got ahold of something that killed her.
A town should not be in the condition Satsuma is in if the police are doing the job that taxpayers are paying for. A town can only be as clean as the people being paid to keep it clean.
On that note, I find it impossible to believe that a 17 year old girl with a 6th grade education has the entire Satsuma police force by the balls.

I agree with wait a minute. If Misty were guilty, she would've been charged. The cops have made it very clear that they want it to be her & her low life friends. There is no way that she could've fooled the whole police force, unless they're all retarded. For whatever reason, they have something to hide. A trained agency needs to step in, solve this case, & let the chips fall where they may. Ron should be sitting in prison right now on those heroin charges, alone. If any other missing child's father had his drug & violence record, LE would start with the obvious. Duhhhhhhh.........

So if the FBI comes in and cleans up a sewer like Satsuma wouldn't that be a GOOD THING? This case could be the excuse to do it. Come on don't let the corruption there fester, stop it now.

You people talk about Satsuma like it is crime city. This is a peaceful place on the banks of the St. Johns river. Nice homes tucked away in wooded areas. Yes we have some Mobile home community's. Thanks to all the Snow birds moving in. Many are well kept gated, high classed areas. All areas in the US have drug problems. We are proud of our area. Do not judge all by a few bad apples. Satsuma only has two stores(Family Dollar and a convenience store),The people are friendly and most are model citizens.

Thank You LOCAL, I am glad to read something from someone that has first hand knowledge of the area. I get tired of reading posts from people that live in Bum-%@#$-Egypt and want to sit and judge our area. Just because you google it, doesn't mean it is so.

HAHAHA, nothing like a jug of good ole fashion moonshine, or is that DENIAL!

Look so you have nice homes, BUT what about this Police Dept. that make Gomer Pile look like a genius???

So you don't care about a sickly, defenseless child and her psycho family???
You couldn't care less because it happened to someone else's child???
Shame on you. You should be demanding BETTER from Local Police and Detectives. What if this had happened to your loved one? Would you be speaking of the "nice, big homes in the area?" Truly pathetic.

TO: Wait a minute - RE:”Anything that was in that letter we've already ... we're not naïve. We already looked into it, so it's insignificant to us, the letter is at this point," Ryan said"

IMO, Ryan's comment is most likely another lie - they did not "look into it" as it was a story they concocted to try to get NayNay to speak. It back fired because she had a solid alibi (as expressed in her letter to her boyfriend).
Maybe Ryan knows more than I do about this case ...
He is the investigator, not me! However, I think they are trying whatever means to get people to talk. The problem with this strategy - if you are trying to pinpoint this on the wrong ppl, U R just spinning your wheels and wasting valuable time.

If you know who did it maybe you can tell them. Everyone keeps passing judgment on the officers who are trying their best.
