Is the community aware of the new leadership at PCMC and what it means for the future of the hopsital? If the new administrator continues with the current trend she is on, the doors will be shut within a year. Have you been there lately? Have you talked to any of the employees lately? Does anyone care if the hospital stays open? Can the Board of Directors be that blind as to not be aware of the daily operations that are going on?

I have heard about it, sounds like someone should slap the dog mess out of the new director! She needs to take her head out of her ace and do the right thing. Think about it Carol, the way things are going now, people one year from now that are in need of an ER in our area will have to go either to BC or Port Lavaca for treatment, they could waste life saving precious minutes on the way to eithe one of these places, think abou it!!!

How many more medical staff can we loose? If they are not fired, then they will leave for better money and better hours. Have the administrative team do patient care?

Carol Hanes is trying to do some damage control. After 9 months of being the CEO, she is for the first time talking with staff members. It took the Director of Nursing to qiut She only did the meetings on the advice of the friend she brought in (mitzi) that does most of her work anyway.

Two job postings to do a job one person does right now. Now where is that going? Maybe getting a bit top heavy there at the old hospital I am thinking.

Concerned, my post was pure sarcasm. Of course it is crazy to keep hiring admin type when they are obviously not needed and she fires the people taking care of patients.

Think it is time for the hospital board to have every PCMC employees do a drug screen. I hear there is something in our midst.
