Are we running out of things to talk about. We've talked about random people, alcohol, drugs, unemployment, sex, partying, criminals, law enforcement, the local economy, things for sale, places to go, gossip, religion, government, and just about every random topic that anyone can come up with. I'm hoping that all of the idiots and wise crackers have exhausted themselves so maybe now we can talk about accomplishing something worthwhile in this community. We are a community of haves and have nots, snobs and rednecks, christians and atheists, and everything in between and both sides have expressed themselves. Now can we set aside our differences and do something to improve our community.

Talking is great if it is followed up with real action. I challenge all of you to pick a problem and then work as a team to actually correct it.

How can we get a new business here when so many are closing their doors? Times are really tough right now. We will survive, we always do. Maybe we won't have as much as we are use to having but we will manage just like our grandparents did !!!

We need another "american standard" in Johnson co. They sure helped a lot of years. Any kind of factory would be helpful.

That's why putting in upscale restaurants would be a good idea. As well as anything along the lines of entertainment. If it is good enough, people will support it and we would attract people from surrounding counties. Even if it means working for minimum wage, it needs to be done. You have to think of money as currency like an electric current that has to flow and circulate among people doing things for other people. That makes for a good economy. Money creates jobs and makes people do things just as electricity creates light. How do you make people in the coal industry and medical profession pass their currency around...food and entertainment. As for people like Homer Short and Chad Perry and the big banks who hold the purse strings, we need proposals from entrepreneurs to get them to allow the currency to flow. Just like we have plenty of coal, there is plenty of money, it just needs to flow in order to light up this place. We've been in the dark long enough.

who do you think would be good for sheriff or for judge in the next election. especially since the city went wet?
although it falls under the jurisdiction of the mayor. i think that will change too. he will spend all the surplus tax dollars on the golf course or where ever his buddies will benifit the most.

Kentucky already offers numerous incentives and financial assistance programs to companies and investors willing to invest in our state. See the following link for more info;
