Ok, I have a question! Does anyone know why the house on 1428 is constantly for sale? The nice brick one that sits off to itself. I have always heard something bad happened in it. I wonder if that is why it is only occupied for short intervals and then goes back up for sale! Is it haunted???

I don't know maybe someone died in it maybe you should call TAPS to investigate! I do know of a few amateur ghost hunters in the area.... Maybe you should look them up.

I have heard the same thing about it, back when I was in high school we partied in it a lot! Their was a poker house up from it on the hill and Ed Spencer's brother got killed there, they just about cut his head off.

Are u talking about the one on depot road that was recently remodeled. Yeah every since I can remember no one has lived there long. I've seen people move out after a couple of days. My mom told me a guy got his head whacked off after a poker fight and it rolled across the road and over the hill to the train track. That was in the seventies. Not sure if that's an urban legend but no one has stayed there long.

Do you mean the brick in the narrow about halfway to Vanhoose Lumber?? I lived there years ago for a few months and never recall a single incident. Maybe some strange things have happened over the last 20 years, and I'd imagine its getting pretty old, but as long as it's been taken care of I'm sure its a probably good solid purchase as rental property or as a primary home, especially now that they've made some changes to the parking. That was also an issue if I recall. Looks like it has been totally remodeled recently to. Just ask the recent owners. You can find that info at the clerks office if you search the deed or have an attorney do a simple title search, which you would want done anyway. Good luck!

Looked into buying it years ago. The sewage is messed up. It backs up and the entire house smells like a cess pool.

Just because u can't afford it is no reason to put it downI have family that has lived there .. the only problem was the rent was to high and the landlord was very hard to get along with.there is no problems with that house it is in great shape they just put central heat and air in it it is a great house.
