Not buying it! Especially when I read articles like this.
"John Schnatter, CEO of Papa John's, is threatening to reduce worker's hours to 30 hours per week in order to avoid covering them under the Affordable Care act (Obamacare). He claims it will cost an additional 11 to 14 cents per pizza to cover his employees, a cost he cannot absorb or pass along to customers, so he plans to make his employees absorb the cost through reduced hours and reduced pay."
Yeah right. 14 cents is going to drive customers away by the hordes so it justifies punishing the workers by reducing their meager paychecks even more. Sociopathy and hatred at it's finest. Let's give the wealthy even more special privileges due to the superb intellect they seem to have.
take off your rose colored obama glasses and maybe you will see the truth. why should john give one penny away and not use it to make his life better when he is the one who put his own money and efforts into making his business the empire it is today. if you worked hard and created a lot of wealth gas bag, i firmly believe that you would keep every cent you could and make your life better and i do not for one nanosecond think that you would give any of your wealth away.

that is the whole point to starting a business. why should john or anyone else hang on just to pay other peoples way and not his own. anyone who has taken the chance to start a business has put a lot of money and effort into it. why should they not reap the rewards?
Point taken and conceded but you're overlooking one point. The man is willing to side step the law at his employee's expense.

Yes it's his company. Yes he has the right to reap the rewards. Yes he has the right to run his company as he sees fit. HOWEVER, he also agreed to start his company, run his company and reap the rewards of his company within the confines of the law. He may not be breaking the law but he is sidestepping it,,,, and he knows it,,,,, and now so does the general public. I wonder how that's going to play out with his PR? Especially when the consequence was only 11 - 14 cents a pizza.

So once a business owner makes a certain amount of money (john makes 600 million a year) and has a xompany that makes 1.1 billion in revenue every year, he shouldnt have to put any money back into his company?
Hes reaping plenty of rewards.
And hes not paying anyones way. Hes charging customers 14 more cents so he wont have to cut into his 600 million. But 600 milion...the man is barely getting by according to you.
