I think you'll find that the going out of business sale will carry on for quite sometime. As a rule the prices are discounted weekly until it's sold. I have seen these go on for months.

You are a dumbass. What did Obama and Pelosi have to do with a second rate furniture store in eastern Kentucky??? Do you really think that they sit in Washington DC and think who can we screw today?? Open your eyes dipshit, this started under the glorious numbnuts George Bush. The President is doing his best to save the country what does it profit them to run people out of business??
In actuality you should be happy this has happened, you and your for big business Republican friends this is their aim. Get your head out of Palin and Limbaugh's ass and see what is really going on. Gawd, you people make me nauseous!

It is the ripple down affect causing the country to become a nanny state. That is what Pelosi and Obama have to do with it. I am a Democrat and have been since 1973. I just stopped rinking the juice and switched to tea. Dumbass. I am so glad you have a brain. Would be nice if you should use it.

No,I can't claim that the Constitution was originally my idea. However,at this date and time,we still have our freedom to speak and as such, both of us are entitled to our opinion. We best be using our freedoms while we still can. Once we move from a Republic to A Socialist country, then who knows? I don't think the Tea Party claims to be the ones who originally came up with our form of government...I believe that credit is due our founding fathers.I do believe the Tea Party wants to ensure we stay a government that believes and abides by the founding principles. But, we just may be too late for that.I do hope not.

Get the government out of economics. Let the free markets handle it, like the natural flow of a river.

There's many cuts we can make before hitting entitlement programs, like the 2.4 million a year we spend on helping elephants in Asia and Africa, or the $500,000 on saving Marine Turtles. What a disgusting waste of money.

I won't even get into the overseas empire (1 TRILLION/YEAR) or the ineffective Drug War (1 TRILLION/YEAR), but that 2 Trillion would be best left off our ever-growing debt.:-)

P.S. ABOLISH THE IRS AND FEDERAL RESERVE

The Tea Party's biggest issue right now is that #1 Obama is Black,# He is a Democrat and #3 He is Black. I think that unfortunately is the bottomline with the whole "movement", it has nothing to do with the constitution, most of them can't read that well.

What the Obama admin has to do with our economy is this. The EPA refuses to grant mining permits. Our economy depends on coal and most of the country also depends on it for power. Obama and Joe Biden are both on record saying they do not believe in clean coal nor coal use at all.

Right or wrong, this is a death blow for life in east KY. The liberal agenda is all about reforest the American country side and hold the population in large metros. KY will someday become part of a natural park system all reclaimed and put back to a pristine forest for the elite to enjoy while the poor toil to serve them.

I know because I am helping to do it. In our future, the freedoms we have to live here will not exist. The first step is destroy the economy. People leave and those left behind eventually fade away.

Oh well, my apologies. I forgot that Maggard's and the economy of Eastern KY has nothing to do with Federal policy. Indeed, Maggard's closing (along with many other businesses) has nothing to do with the loss of coal mining jobs. After all, our economy has so very little to do with the energy industry.

I didn't mean to inflame you to the point that you had to pull your head out of the sand in which it was so firmly implanted.

We live in a state of fools and a hefty majority of them live right here in Johnson County.

It makes me sick to even go outside and witness the sheer ignorance of everyone that lives here, drugged out of their minds, sucking the government tit until the country collapses in on itself.

They are the biggest wastes of life of the Century and a strong argument for abortion.

If anyone can live amongst these imbeciles and be against abortion, then I question their mental stability.

You all are right, the economy is a train wreck, but it's been wrecking since 2004, not 2010. I'm not saying Obama is all that, but anyone that trys to blame the ecomony on him is drinking the hatoraide. Mr Bush got us in this mess.

I wish someone would open a decent furniture store because Big Sandy only sells junk and its the same brand big lots and magic mart carries. I bought a few items there and its not worth bringing it home. There sales pitch is a scam. I ordered a few items from JC PENNEY and found even with the shipping it was cheaper than Big Sandy and much better quality.

I wish Maggards was back in business.
