Trooper Anson Tribby of Maysville,Ky. was killed yesterday when his personal vehicle ran into the back of a wrecker while he was attempting to reach the site of a car on fire in order to render aid to any potential victims.

Thank you Misty. Please pray for his wife. She is only 25 years old. What a horrible tragedy to endure at such a young age. EKY has lost a true friend and a loving protector.

I will definitely remember her in my prayers. That is very sad. I am sure she is struggling to find some peace and understanding. I am guessing they had no children...since you never said.

You have every right to say what you want. But I would hope that you, and others of your kind, will give this man and his family the respect they deserve. Dig down deep inside you might find one small shred of compassion for another human being.

I don't understand sometimes how ppl can be so rude and disrespectful. Losing your soul mate rips u apart. How can that person be so cruel in saying that about the State Trp. My God how anyone can say those words on here or any where else about a person who lost their life to save another. This makes me sick. To his wife God be with you through this horrible tragey and in the coming days weeks and months may u find the strength thru God to deal with the many feelings u will have it is a ruff road to walk down I know I lost my husband and it was the hardest thing I ever had to go thru. . Misty I don't know u but I will remember u and ur family and his family in prayer. To the person who has no respect no feelings no brain u should apologized to her and both families if u have any heart at all. U cold blooded heartless less than human.

I know this man wanted to " protect and Serve " the people of EKY. He made the ultimate sacrifice. He was trying to get to that burning car to save anyone who might have been in it.

I believe his wife, Rebecca, is asking for everyone's prayers. This is a horrible time for Becky and my prayers certainly are with her.

He will forever be in my prayers. However as someone who witnessed the horrific accident, he was not responding to the car on fire. That situation was almost completely cleaned up. He was just passing by and unfortunately did not see the wrecker that had pretty much stopped in the left lane on the opposite side. Very sad accident.

Thank you for clearing that up. Tribby was a great guy. I will always remember him in my prayers also.
