Anyone know the name of the song that WSIP sometimes plays during the Christmas season, with a lady who has a really heavy hillbilly accent who says she has to get her hubby some new underwear because his have "holes in the knees"?

I NEED to know. Been trying to figure it out all year.

Wooooo! You are my hero! I can't find it online anywhere, but still it helps to know the name of the song and who it's by.

Would you happen to know where I can get a copy?
no luck

I googled and yahooed til my finers hurt; the song doesn't seem to exist. I actually found that info on a WSIP request list while I was searching. Not much info on the song writers either. I wonder if WSIP has an unknown treasure in their music vault. Post if you find anything else.

I googled my fingers off as well with no luck. I'm getting so desperate that I might just have to call and ask the station if they can help me find a copy! I remember hearing it on cold mornings when I was a kid getting ready for school and I haven't heard it in years. Do they actually still play it?
heard it

Well, I have about all they recorded. Here is a list and I am sure it's one of them. THE VACATION, YOU'RE THE REASON OUR KIDS ARE UGLY (LITTLE DARLLING, HOME SWEET HOME, IT'S ALMOST AS COLD OUTSIDE, AND IF WE ONLY LOOKED(CLOSER TO HOME). It took me a long time to get these. They were all 45's and I recorded them to the computer and then to cd. If I were guessing, I would say it's, YOU'RE THE REASON OUR KIDS ARE UGLY LITTLE DARLING. That was the most popular. I would be very surprised it it were not one of these though.

I meant to say earlier, Lola Jean Dillon went on to record an album of other songs, but it didn't meet with success. L.E. White was the father of current Country singer, Bryan White. These songs are funnier that all get out. I play them almost daily. When I converted them to cd, it improved the quality somewhat. The 45's I purchased (one at a time) were new, so there were no scratches, but 45's were 45's. You young people don't even remember them. Good ole days.
