But! But! The wealthy love us peons so much that we give them special privileges so they'll give us all jobs. Oh yeah! Wait! They're supposed to keep everything they've earned because they worked for it. Come on now, which is it because you can't have it both ways. As for the fines you mentioned, try reading the rest of the book before you try adding your own ending.

Wow! You really DO have a problem with reading, comprehension and not knowing facts! Driscoll gave himself a raise last year. A very nice one in fact. This year he gave his executives all raises of up to 80%, THEN asked the employee's to take cuts in pay as well as benefits, when they refused he filed for bankruptcy AS WELL as gave himself ANOTHER raise. I said it before and fell back on it. This time I'm standing by it. Conversing with you is like conversing with a paranoid schizophrenic. Totally friggin useless waste of time. Later.

You may want to read the Supreme Courts decision on The Healthcare Reform. No one will go to jail for being unable to pay.
Its not even went into affect yet and business' are panicking. None of the rich want to put any money back into their company and opting to charge customers more instead. And im suppose to believe the rich can make MORE jobs? Right.

oh i can comprehend allright!! so what if he did give himself a raise last year. so stinking what. it was his company he could do what ever he wanted to with it because he was the one who worked and grew the thing from nothing. if the employees did not like what he was doing they could have gone somewhere else to work and let another worker who was willing to work under those circumstances take his place. what gives anyone else but the creator of a business the right to say what happens to his profits. and yes he did build it.

Our Nations founders didn't think so.

The United States Constitution provides that Congress "shall have the power to lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts, and Excises ... but all Duties, Imposts, and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States."[83] Prior to amendment, it provided that "No Capitation, or other direct, Tax shall be Laid unless in proportion to the Census ..." The 16th Amendment provided that "Congress shall have the power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration." The 10th Amendment provided that "powers not delegated to the United States by this Constitution, nor prohibited to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people."

Congress has enacted numerous laws dealing with taxes since adoption of the Constitution. Those laws are now codified as Title 19, Customs Duties, Title 26, Internal Revenue Code, and various other provisions. These laws specifically authorize the United States Secretary of the Treasury to delegate various powers related to levy, assessment and collection of taxes.

State constitutions uniformly grants the state government the right to levy and collect taxes. Limitations under state constitutions vary widely.

Various individuals and groups have questioned the legitimacy of United States federal income tax. These arguments are varied, but have been uniformly rejected by the Internal Revenue Service and by the courts and ruled to be frivolous.

Imagine that. The courts even consider your opinion frivolous.

What is this anyway? Some kind of ploy of yours to get me to educate you?

No it wasn't. It belonged to Hostess and there are share holders to answer to.

Or go on the dole like you're going to do.

No one. But that's not what is being debated here. It's being stated that the Union bankrupted the company and caused it to close their doors. No,,, they didn't. Unions have the legal right to negotiate their pay and benefits the same as the business owner has the legal right to be greedy and try to force poverty wages onto the employee's. The owner doesn't have to negotiate. He can file bankruptcy and close the doors to his own company on his greedy ass. And don't try and say the Union wasn't willing to negotiate either. They had already taken one pay cut for Hostess.

On the Repubs if the shoe fits. And the shoe they have been wearing is so full of holes they themselves are looking for a shoemaker to make repairs. I just read one of the GOP super pacs has decided to start backing immigration reform. I've been reading where GOP members have been like rats leaving the sinking ship. Actually Charley I would dearly love to. It would tickle me to death if BOTH sides would do what they were elected to do and that is live by the laws and amendments THEY made to the constitution instead of playing political games.

Our Government has a much larger job than way to many are willing to acknowledge and we "parasites" are living under the laws that were set in place for us during the course of that job. We didn't make those laws. We just live under them. We "parasites" are now being used as tools in a political game that is working all to well. You don't know me from Adam beyond I freely and unashamedly admit I'm disabled but you yourself labeled me a parasite. Their political games worked well didn't they? You're still willing to vote for anyone who says they'll exterminate us "parasites". Indeed. Their games work VERY well.

The day I see the Repubs treating us "parasites" like human beings I'll be happy to give them a break.

oh gas bag, i have no problem paying my taxes. i pay my taxes early every year.

the courts consider my opinion frivolous???? how on earth do the courts know what my opinion is, or for that matter how do you know what my position is.

let me make it clear gas bag. i have no problem paying my taxes. i gladly pay them. what i do not agree with is the government feeling like it is o.k. for them to make me pay someone elos' way in life . i have had to work very, very hard for every penny i have made and after i pay my taxes the rest should be mine and mine alone to do with as i wish. but, obama says i must pay for healthcare for others and i do not like that one bit. so, you can post all the insults you wish , i make my own money and other people have no right to say what i should do with it after i pay my taxes.

First, you're mixing topics. Paying someones way refers to SSI, SSDI, foodstamps, unemployment etc. Health care isn't paying someones way.

Second, you're being led around by the nose again. The only people that will be paying for Obamacare will be those who use Obamacare. Those that cannot afford to pay such as employee's for Papa Johns Pizza, Walmart employee's etc will be grandfathered in under Medicaid. Yes, in essence, those people will be the ones YOU are paying for. Why will YOU be paying for them? Because Papa Johns can't see their way clear to raise the price of their Pizza 11 - 14 cents. Walmart can't see their way clear to treat the employee's like humans instead of numbers on a pc screen.

Are you beginning to see the circle now? When an employer abuses their employee's, the rest of us pick up their slack.

So,,,, go ahead and blow your trumpet for the wealthy and their "hard work". Vote to keep their taxes low. Cry foul whenever they don't get a special privilege. Vote against unions that try and keep the field level. Decry Obama as Satan spawn. Do whatever floats your boat because no matter what, whatever the wealthy shirk you're paying for one way or another.

waitaminute wrote:

One of the laws that comes with Obamacare is a cap on your policy price. 96% of your total yearly policy payment MUST be spent on you, NOT profit.
waitaminute wrote:

Top of the line pay isn't being asked for. Fair pay is being asked for as well as compliance with the law.
waitaminute wrote:

Those willing to work at such jobs as Walmart and Papa Johns aren't exactly free loaders. They're working at the only job they can get. Those job providrs are willing to abuse the workers by placing maximum profit over a human being so by your definition they're a free loader?
waitaminute wrote:

Thanks to insurance companies deciding how much they will pay to maximize their profits as well as drug makers charging a horrendous amount for drugs, yup, there's not much room left for docs to make it worth their while to even go to medical school.

BS. I was an AFL-CIO-CLC member for some 25 years and a P.A.C.E. member for about 5. All we bargained for was what employee's from the same field were getting across the U.S. We also took contract extensions or cuts in the event the company was in a bind due to market demand. The evil unions and evil pres got old with me decades ago.
waitaminute wrote:

You say socialism like it's a bad word. Did your party teach you to view it that way or did you bother to think it through. After all I'm sure your kids teachers, police department, sheriff, state patrol, fire department, state/local library and each military member would be more than happy to send you a bill for services rendered each and every month.
