tjat is right if one of these so called good citizens had to walk a day in the life of real back pain then they would see things different as for the people with drug problems that is not my fault your fault or caremores fault people are who they are because that is who they want to be bottom line

Okay, one post says it isn't Caremore's fault if you are addicted. I agree with that part of the statement. However, it is their fault if they have a patient stoned out of their head, and they continue to give them meds! If taken as prescribed they wouldn't be high when they were waiting on the Doctor. Any Dr. that prescribes to a "high" patient is just as guilty as anyone else! Office staff should say " I'm sorry but you can't be seen until you come back sober." At least they wouldn't be knowingly given someone something to maybe even kill themselves or someone else!

Its funny that Ms. Cantrell was gone when this went down. She knew. Its a stretch to understand how one turns on their spouse and throws them under the bus but people do crazy things to save their own skin. Mark my word, she knew.

Honestly, I have no idea. She is released now. How, i have no idea. She doesn't want to quit her bad habits. Spending a few days in jail, done nothing. Turning her in was the hardest thing i have done. And it was done hoping to force her to get help and to open her eyes. She said she loves me and my children but won't give up her pills to keep us in her life. I pray for God to help her everyday. I feel so helpless. I am so tired of being scared almost everyday that i have lost her. I call her, when she doesn't answer, i rush to make sure she's alive. It's a terrible feeling thinking 'what if she's gone this time'.
i know how you feel.

Actually, I do too in some ways. If you try to help them you are enabler, and if you turn away, you are cruel. (But you are not signing their death certificates, THEY are.

Let me tell you something. My mother is an addict. For years. She has been in and out of rehab many times. A few weeks ago,I received a call she was at the clinic and that i needed to go get her. I went, recorded her in Caremore, pilled out to the point she could barley hold her head up. She had already been seen and was 'talking'(if u can call it that) to someone in the waiting room. I not only called the cops and had her picked up(they took her to the hospital first since she was so messed up) but i also turned in the footage as evidence. Everyone there could tell how messed up she was. But Not a single person done anything except the person who saw her there and called.(who did not even work there but was visiting one of the staff) My mother is in terrible condition as far as her addiction. But is not injured at all. The script was for pain pills, xanax, and something else. There was absolutely no reason for her to have been prescribed them. If u r saying Caremore does right by u, then good for u. But they Do Not do right with everyone!
I know it must have been hard for you but I am proud of you. It would have been hard but I would have done the same thing you done. You probably saved your moms life.

I wonder why the Paper from Louisville can talk about a pain clinic in Johnson, Yet in their own city their are more Pain Clinics that are more than willing to give their patients what it is they ask for ! This is Politics, Power Play & something for a ONE term sheriff to try to use in the next election. Period.
I live in Louisville. It is not that easy to get pain meds here, even if you are really in pain. The doctors office I work for sends all patients for mri, cat scans, x-rays before prescribing any narcotics. If pain is visible, he may give something like ultram or 800 mg motrin but you better not come in out office looking strung out saying youre in pain. On more than one occasion, we have called the LMPD and had individuals arrested right from our waiting room. We talk about pain clinics in our newspapers because we do not want them here. We see many people from your area that are over medicated and they come to us for help. Believe it or not, some people DONT want all the medication they are prescribed. Some people DONT like the feeling of being out of their comfort zone. In my opinion, all pain clinics need busted. All drug dealers that call themselves doctors need punished. They have no right what so ever to ruin a persons life by giving them all the drugs they want. Shame on them.

I know some people need help. Honest help. Before my grandfather passed away, i had to take him to get his medication. The doctor he went to gave him the med's to try to make him comfortable. It was not like the pain clinics i see issues with. Helping those who need it is one thing. Abusing that privilege is another. Caremore, the one at Auxier, both abuse what they give out. If they only helped the ones who need it things would be different. Anyone with kids needs to work to support their family. I agree. But at what cost. Those who seen the wrong they were doing are at fault for being there. Period. Again, if it was an honest pain clinic, that would not be the case.

Simply untrue. maybe at your office, but there are others that will accept you. Before someone said that Johnson co. was ranked above Jefferson co. in k.a.s.p.r. rankings for pain med's, probably right sense Heroin, Coke & all other STREET Drugs Dominate there, Lively Shively, Bards town rd. & the projects. so i guess Street drugs don't count, Right. This lil place has no other crime YET but today i was told a new type of smokable Heroin is already here not unlike Crack But Heroin, DEATH. All i want is not to cause trouble, but to be able to get out of pain @ 53 Totally disabled & everyday that is getting Harder & more Ridiculous to do.
