I signed but Ky isn't much different than other States. You have good area's and bad area's for animal protection.

What I find interesting is I never see a petition asking for the betterment of the elderly, disabled or destitute. Is a dog worthy of more notice than a human being?

You two deep thinkers are getting a little old with the NG post giving Gaytor Prick the lead in for the big show off post. We get it already you guys ! We know now that Gaytor Prick is Uber-inteligent and that he is the biggest, baddest and smartest dude in the room.

I found a dog by the side of the road about 3 years ago. She was covered in mud, sores and so thin it was pitiful. I took her home, fed her and after a day or two when she trusted me enough I gave her a bath. Goldie now has her own bed in the corner of my bedroom. She eats whenever I eat. She is my best friend. I see the love and gratitude in her eyes every time she looks at me. I will forever be thankful that I am the one who found her because she brings such joy to my life. Oh BTW one of her ears is half gone and she lost one eye despite all the vets' efforts but to me she is beautiful.

Has anyone heard if they got the data base going for registering animal abusers? I heard they were trying to get it going in Kentucky and people who are convicted of animal abuse will be registered in a national data base like sex offenders.

The stupidity of this topic is indescribable. If you want to help anything help this country or PEOPLE of our own. Stop bitching because some poodle doesn't have rights.., animals such as dogs need discipline just the same as humans. Children need to be brought up with obideince.our country has lost its way, which is why we are seeing the terrible things we are seeing in today's time.

There is a huge difference between teaching obedience and discipline with animals and children and abusing them.

It doesn't teach discipline to an animal of child by beating them, starving them, locking them in cages for days on end and any other number of barbaric and cruel practices.

People who make statements such as yours seem to live in their own little world where nothing else matters unless it invades your little world.

I found a dog on the side of the road that was in very bad shape. part of its' ear was torn off, it was covered in sores, it had one eye and it was almost dead from starvation.I took it home and took care of it. That dog is with me today and has given me a lot of love and companionship. I have been an animal rights activist since the day I found that dog. Animal abuse happens and it needs to be stopped.
