You're behind in the times. It didn't pass. Plus you may want to read the following article.

Daviess County, KY Law Enforcement Against Pseudoephedrine Bill

Doctors and law enforcement officials across Kentucky are voicing opposition to a state bill that would require a prescription for pseudoephedrine.
Pseudoephedrine is the key ingredient in making meth and as much as they want to catch people getting and using it illegally, Daviess County law enforcement, pharmacists and doctors held a press conference to say why the legislation is a bad idea.
Daviess County Sheriff Keith Cain says law enforcement would be delayed a week in finding out who bought pseudoephedrine through prescriptions.
The current e-tracking system alerts law enforcement within seconds of any excess pseudoephedrine purchase.
The sheriff argues that making the drug prescription-based will do little to hinder meth makers.
The state legislators are expected to vote on the bill when they begin their next session next week.

I would hate to have to go to the doctor when I have a cold among even more sick people and get even worse when I could just pop in the store real quick, grab myself some medicine, and head home and rest.

The biggest issue with this is for people that currently do not have health insurance. For example: If Suzy Q has a cold, she can just go to WalMart and pick something up, no insurance needed... But, if she has to go to the doctor, then she has to pay the office visit, pay for any tests, and also for the medication at the pharamcy. So, lets add it up- the $5.00 box of medicine goes to a potentially $85+ box of medicine when the patient has to pay for the office visit.
This becomes an issue for money, and the thing is, there is already a tracking system in place to keep up with the purchase of medications containing psuedoephedrine.
Personally, I think if this legislation had passed, then medications like sudafed would be sold on the black market just as Xanax and Oxycontin are.

True but none of the rest of them work as well. I do not wish to lose my rights due to the actions of a few. What is next? Banning all drivers because some idiot drank to much and chose to drive?

lets just ban everything that way everyone will be locked up and then we will all be free, well maybe that wont work, how about 1 strike rule instead of 3, or stick cameras up everyone's butt so we know every time someone takes a shit and how much toilet paper they are wasting and tax them for extra sheets used. WOW those are terrible ideas, who came up with those. here is a good one, sale then one at a time but make them one billion times stronger so you just need a nano-particle to get better. okay ill shut up now, GOODNITE!!!
