Lake county and pride

I grew up in Fairport Harbor graduating in 1956 and vividly recall the proud demonstrations of community at the high school athletic functions as well as band contests . It was healthy and honorable and created a strong community sense which carried through into adulthood. The world has fragmented even in our small communities making community spirit an anachronism. I wonder. Do Lake county students feel close to their community. Do they represent with pride their neighbors teachers, and officials. or is that sense of belonging now overshadowed by feelings of separation and ideology?
