They were WILDLY expensive, compared to walmart. Why pay more for the same drugs?

Their prices were the best in town for scripts. They also made compound drugs. None of the others in town did that.

I also was wondering why they are closed. I switched from Walmart because 1) the prices were the same or near it 2) the customer service & less waiting times far exceeded Walmarts by a longshot. I switched because it is MY money I am spending and I got tired of dealing with cranky, unhappy people at Walmart. No I won't get my scripts at Walmart, I will STILL go elsewhere. CVS & Smiths has good service.

I walked in there a few times, they were always out of things, their constant battle cry was "Well, I can order it for you"

Their prices were good on a few things but WAY overpriced on other things, RX stuff was at least 2 times higher than walmart. Nana, you are welcome to pay more so you can feel good about yourself, me, I will save my money.

Nana,
Personally, I shop at Smith's. They have the convienence of a drive thru if you're not in a hurry. Sometimes you can drop off your prescription and it'll be ready by the time you're finished grocery shopping. plus, and here's what I like best, every prescription you have filled is worth 50 points, so having two "scripts filled saves you ten cents off gas. Just something to think about...

I was there one time, they screwed up my meds and then charged way more. No wonder they closed, overpriced and poor attention to detail.

I heard it was all because that nice young man George Bailey WAS NEVER BORN! As a result, the druggist poisoned that kid and went to prison.

This is one of the reasons I will fill mine at Smiths too, for the discount on gas, and the great customer service I have always received there.

Ok so I asked a nurse at the doctors office today, and she said Walgreens bought out Family Pharmacy, taking over immediately. I guess that Walgreens was losing too much business. Shame of the matter is that when I called Walgreens on Saturday, they would not say what happened, nor could they fill a script that was needed because the files were not transferred into their system yet. So my 85 yr old Uncle had to wait for his meds. Smiths already has taken care of us today.

Don't know why they closed but there was problems with them not filling scripts correctly. Had a script written wrong but instead of telling me, made me wait an hour and a half then sold me the script and was 15 minutes away when I noticed the error. Went back and they just made excuses. Had the script transferred to Walmart. They saw it was written incorrectly, called my Doctor and had it fixed. The first group that opened the Family pharm were outstanding. The problem is they hired more people that were completely inept!

Yup heard both 10 times more expensive than walmart AND that they screwed up scripts. Not a shocker that they would be gone in a flash.

If you want to put comments no need to put rude ones, especially if you do not know the reason or circumstances in which they closed. They are very good people, and they tried there hardest to be helpful to their costumers.

What is a costumer? Did you have to wear a costume to get waited on?
Pajamas and slippers are not a costume, that is just how their customers dressed. Medicaid and controlled substance headquarters.

I always went as Casper The Friendly Ghost, my girlfriend used to go as Elvira. It was a real pain having to get all dressed in a costume just to pick up my prescriptions. Its no wonder they failed.

Not only that but every time I was in there, there was some guy with a windbreaker that said DEA on it, and he would take pictures of you. I guess he liked our costumes.
