Happy days are here again! Starting December 1st, we will again have bus service to and from Las Vegas. Regent Holiday Bus Tours will be providing transportation to and from Las Vegas and also shuttle service to and from the LV Airport. The daily service to Las Vegas starts at 3:30am into LV with 4-buses scheduled throughout the day. Cost is $18 round-trip and $10 for a one-way ticket. Airport shuttle service from Pahrump is available for $10.(one-way) and $33 (round-trip). All buses going into Las Vegas stop at Silvertons, the Tropicana, The Sahara, and finally The California Hotel downtown (and then turns around). The local pick-up locations in Pahrump are; The Nugget, Mountain View Casino, and Terrible's Lakeside. Regent Holiday also provides luxury transportation daily to Orange County, California. I'll provide contact information ASAP.

Hi,
Two friends and I want to go from Sequoia National Park to the Death Valley and so, it seems that we're gonna have to go to Las Vegas and take the bus you are talking about. Can anyone take that bus? Is there other pick-up addresses in Las Vegas? Can we get closer to the Death Valley than Parhump by public transportation?- because we do not have a car.
Thank you.

Hi, Nico...If you can get to Pahrump on Thursday mornings before 10:30, you can catch the Mono-Inyo County shopping shuttlebus($4)in front of Walmart, for a ride back to Shoshone, CA, which is an easy hitch North to Death Valley Junction, and into the Park.
I'll keep an eye peeled for ya.

No. The shuttle stopped running 6/1/09. There's talk of a replacement, but at this point, it's talk.

If you need a ride in you can usually get someone to take you in the morning from one of the local gas stations. Throw in 20 bucks or so for gas and you'll get a ride.

You can also check Craigslist. People post from Pahrump occasionally.

What's the status of the Vegas airport - Pahrump shuttle bus. As far as I can gather it discontinued in June 09 with talk of a replacement at a later date ?.

Should we hire a car is it a difficult drive getting from the Airport to Pahrump considering we have never driven in the U.S and we drive on the opposite side of the road. Is it the kind of traffic situation that would do your head in ?

Well as long as you dont drive on the wrong side of the road the drive is not bad at all long as the weather permits. If its pouring out I would drive carefully.

Thanks a lot , I'll try not to drift across to the opposite side. As for the rain where we come from we take when we can get it.

At the price they were asking for a ride to and from Las Vegas, I would rather have the FREEDOM of having my own car. No one gets me out of my vehicle anyway.. so I dont do mass transit anymore
