Retirees ruin youths future

" I've lived in Ka'u all of my life. Watched people struggle, no jobs except manini kind with small pay. The big bucks are 100 miles or more away, so people drive and are spending all their earnings on gas. Some say "Keep Ka'u Country" but they are not the ones paying my bills or buying food to feed my family! We need jobs over here, not in Kona, Kohala or Hilo. We need smart planning to preserve Ka'u, but don't chase all the development away... Smart planning, smart development... that's what we need. "
