Is lynx services a good job?

Entering data? From personal experience, doing class claims at Lynx is 100% different than homeowner's claims. I've done both. You need a lot more understanding of homeowners to handle it. Someone's got a chipped windshield? click, click, send. Someone just lost their home in a Hurricane and just for kicks lost a family member in the storm, having to ask 50 seemingly irrelevant (but necessary) questions of them. Big difference.

you cant down a company that needed quick help, on a task that consist of reading whats on your screen and then entering what the customer says.
Surely you didnt drive from Cottage Grove TN as your location states to Paducah. If so I'd be a little ticked by the time I got there too.

It's an easy job. Pretty relaxed setting. They are pretty strict on attendance, you pretty much get points for any attendance violation, but it still takes quite a few points to get in any kind of trouble. The work gets pretty boring after a while though.

Lynx sucks plain and simple..worked there 5 years and Fired

I have worked there for a while now and while its an easy job in the aspect of jobs it sucks due to the constant demand on the employees. Lynx complains when they make a contract with a client that they don't have the manpower to fulfill. They then ride everyone's backside about doing a better job at the same time lower the standard weekly hours to 37.5 to get out of having to pay for their employees medical benifits. The job is decent but it requires patience above the pay scale provided. There isn't really any room to advance and there is a lot of people who go to the higher ups complaining about everything they can in hopes of moving up or being a "teachers pet" per se. Bottom line unless you want to feel like you're back in highschool this job may not be for you. If you can overlook that stuff then you might enjoy it for a while.

It really does sux. If you have to go to the bathroom u are timed. If high call volume u get only a 30 min break instead an hour. It is like being in a boot camp or in jail. If you are not a people person and like to be by yourself 8 hours a day in a box then it's for you. There is alot of weirdos that work there . I would flip a burger any day then work there. If you do ask for help they make you feel like an idiot and calls are timed. Blah blah if you like to have razors stuck up ur a@@ then you like pain and go for it

LYNX Services is a good place to work, if you act like an adult and actually do the work they ask of you. If you want to call in sick all the time, get paid to take several "bathroom breaks" (when you are really going outside to smoke) and be lazy then no it's not a good place for you.

I worked there for a few months before I got a better paying job. Easiest job I've ever had and paid more than minimum wage. Yeah they have some rules they are anal about but what place doesn't? Our training class lasted for 2 weeks before we were let out on the floor by ourselves. It isn't a job strictly for lazy asses. It's a job for anyone that NEEDS A JOB. You know you are gonna be sitting at a desk all day so if that doesn't appeal to you, don't apply. Simple as that.
