You're comparing Old and New Testament for the most part. Dig a little deeper. God's coming to Earth (in the form of Jesus) and the ultimate sacrifice that was made changes things tremendously.

I don't intend to start a theological pissing match with this. Please, don't anyone try.

Hope it helps.

How many Christians notice this? It's like nobody reads. It's a fantastically written text if your intent is to confuse an under-educated mass of people.

I was kind of assuming that there may be a copy and paste issue at hand, just couldn't find where it came from. The lengthy response came too quickly.
I retract myself from this conversation.

Suppose man is made in the image of GOD.

DNA is the code of LIFE.

Humans learn, Nature and DNA are learning.

Where does God claim to be perfect, that would contradict nature, it's impossible. what if God is one of us?

perfect stuff doesn't exists

maybe life is a scam

Takes a lot more than that to offend me...no worries.

Gotta be careful where you get your information. This has been a fairly heated debate for centuries, and each side is going to take their own view.

My argument is this...
If I believe and I'm wrong, oh well. I've lived a good life and maybe even helped someone along the way. Might even find some comfort in knowing that I don't have to be in control at all times.
If I choose not to believe and I'm wrong, there's an eternity of not-so-good stuff waiting for me. Eternity is one of those things that we humans can't comprehend due to the fact that we haven't experienced it. There's a lot of stuff that we'll never understand, and that's ok. We probably couldn't deal with the truth anyway.

Make up your own mind. Don't rely on someone to do it for you. There is likely an agenda at play.

why would a perfect God create DNA which evolves and learns over time, there were other species before humans.

Why not create a video game where you go straight to the winning screen every time!!! The perfect game!!! you win!!

Did DNA just pop into existence? or was it programmed to evolve?

Maybe your expectations of God are wrong.

Do you really think that just because something is TRUE, it can not also be false? How narrow is your thinking?

does anyone take this seriously?

The bible is just a book to keep the masses in line there's no real proof that's any of its real thats why it's called having faith no one can prove if god is real or not you either believe or you don't only way you will know for sure is when you die which if the Mayans are right that will be next month cause your right if the bible where gods true word there would only be one denomination and we would all believe the same thing not have several denominations and each one believe something a lil different

let me restate this....

Would a perfect GOD create a video game where you go straight to the winning screen every time you play!!! The perfect game!!! you win!!

instead you must learn how to win the game, there are NO PERFECT INSTRUCTIONS!!!!

giving you proof would be like cheating at the game or learning how to play very well.

the bible may have been used to control masses of people, like politicians do today.

but, did the people 1000's of years ago have access to some information that we are missing today?

the human race survived, many other species died out, what happened? why?

Lots of information is available, due to science. Unfortunately, few people have understood it, they are too busy with the important stuff.

I just found that stuff when I googled Bible contradictions, but all that stuff is in the Bible just the same. Here's my question though. How could it help me to have disingenuous belief, like my questions about the Bible, and still stay in God's grace? I mean, he would be able to tell if I didn't believe but just said I do. Or does God accept this line of questioning? I'm not trying to depend on someone else to make up my mind for me, but I've done a fine job at confusing myself by trying to think about it logically. I mean, what if another god is the right god? Who says that we're the ones who have it right? We basically just follow the religion we were born into. If either of us were born in Afghanistan, we wouldn't be Christian, we'd probably be Muslim. I appreciate your responses, thanks :).
God appreciates and expects your questions. That's how we learn. Gotta drink milk before we eat meat.
As far as the differing religious beliefs, I dont have an answer for ya. Sorry.

Each one of you that are smarter than Einstein should explain to the rest of us why the concept of God is false. If you don't even understand the basics of relativity but you know God to be false then why should I consider you credible?

who should I believe you or Einstein?

Don't confuse the abuse of religious power and the concept of God or just eternal existence.

Try to understand the basics of how TIME works (relativity)then if you want to disagree with Einstein, let's hear your explanation.

The literary works (stories in the Bible and other religious texts) are not intended to be scientific.

The theology can be applied only to the literature describing God. Who wrote it and why?

People can use the concept of God for bad reasons.

The literary concept of God is free to have errors, omissions and self serving motives.

the Scientific concept is different and based on provable, measurable data.

Penzias and Wilson...scientific creationism. Can't beat hard evidence.

in 2011 Perlmutter and Schmidtwe confirmed that not only is the universe expanding but it's expansion is accelerating. probably due to dark energy.

Isn't the scientific creationism interpretation of Penzias and Wilson's discovery, claiming that the universe is not expanding and therefore the big bang must be false a little out dated?

Do creationist still think the universe is not expanding??????????

wasn't cosmic expansion discovered by Hubble, a long time ago. Today we are looking at dark energy.

We should share the contradictions in science over the years compared to the contradictions in religion...

That is a very good point and it would certainly be an interesting discussion.
