Curious is a good example of another serious problem with society today. People have become so dependent on corporations they will fight for them regardless of how ridiculous or wrong their policies and actions are. Its just pathetic.
you my friend could not be further from the truth, take away all goverment, all laws and all civil manners and if thats your idea of a perfect place well then you need to open your eyes to somewhere other than the country club because for every "nice" person there is 10 bad ones, yes even here in the beautiful quilt city of pipe dreams,i personally am appauled at the fact that goverment is involved in soo much and that money gets whatever agenda pushed but thats just the way it is and its been around long before i was here,so maybe you need to look in the mirror first. this post is about how horrible walmart is sooo i guess stay away and please dont shop there. and if you think that will affect them then think again but good luck, it sucks but so does the truth.

Kroger stores are filthy & there meat products are old with a new expiration date! Have you ever had food poisoning! If you don't like Wal mart, fine don't go there! There are other nice, clean stores in Paducah! Why is everyone so impressed with Target? Their stuff is about the poor quality of K Mart, which by the way is affiliated with Sears!
Sears used to be good, but they are rude, overpriced & steal from you!

I only moved here within the last couple of months and I have been totally appalled by the service of the Hinkleville Rd Walmart. I have since found the one on the south side of town. It is not quite as big, but much better.

Someone said that a friend of his goes back and gets a couple containers of icecream and then abandons it in line
Wow! Boy I bet that really get's them, a couple of ice cream containers that are left to melt, I bet that gets the attention of the corporate office. Holy crap, if you do that say, everyday for the rest of your life, maybe they will see a reduction in their profit margin.......no, instead actions like that only cause more work for the individual that is working there for a small wage that has no control over how many people that are working the lanes.

I never ever ever shop at Wal-Mart. They treat their vendors terrible. All the lower prices b.s. that they advertise is just that, b.s. They are not cheaper they just brain wash everyone into thinking they are. I would rather pay more than pay less there. I buy groceries at Aldi's, Kroger, Super Valu, and Food Giant. I buy other items at KMart, Dollar General, Family Dollar, and I have even been known to drive out of state to shop at Target. Wal-Mart has ruined retail in this country. They treat their employees terrible and they have no benefits unless they are management. People complain about outsourcing, but we continue to support the store that encourages it the most.

I was in Wal-mart at 7:00 P.M. today .There were 18 registers closed. 4 - 20 items or less were open and 3 self checkout lanes. People were standing 13 and 14 deep and 8-9 at self check. I didn't see anyone ringing up the loaded carts. I only had 8 items so I went through the self checkout and went to Kroger and bought a huge cart of groceries. Does Wal=mart really think their merchandise is so wonderful people are going to stand in line for an hour ?Every checkout should have been open on Saturday night.

It's best to avoid Hell-Mart during the first week of the month or so. That's when all the welfare/food-stamp queens are out spending our hard-earned tax dollars.

<quoted text> I never claim to be perfect and yes, some of the cashiers are nice but I don't see the need for them to carry in a long conversation with people if there are people waiting in line. I also know that a manager could possibly open more lines so people don't have to wait. Yes, I jnow they have a set numberi of people to work but I bet the manager could work a cash register if they had too. I will tell you this much if I had unloaded a grocery cart dull like the purplelady had and was told after I did that the aisle was closing, I would go off also. The proper thing would have been to say something before a cart got unloaded.
Sry to break it to u but cashiers would get in trouble if they cut a customer off that is trying to talk to them, the customer would complain to a manager and that cashier would be in trouble for being rude

I was at southside last weekend and it was so busy, I kept hearing them calling out their employees from other departments to check out. When I got up there with my stuff, several of the managers were up there too. So, I know this was an old comment, but I guess things have changed and they do have managers working the lines when they need them to. I don't know which department the guy who checked me out is in, but his name tag said "Dept. manager" on it. I like the southside walmart. The cashiers always apologize to me when the lines are long. They also started putting my stuff in my cart while I'm paying. They never did that before. Guess times they are a changing.
