I do believe that welfare recipients should be drug tested. Only because a lot of props abuse welfare and ir hurts the people that really do need it. I wont lie I am a recipient and I dont do anything drug or alcohol wise and I hate being on it but when you are a single parent with a small child and work and child care are extremely hard to find you need it. I have a job its part time 60 hours a month and it minimum wage so its really hard for some people. Other take advantage of it to an extreme nd I dont believe that should have it

Dumb, dumb, dumb. This system has already been proven to cost money instead of save. Why would we, in this day and age, spend money on a game of cat and mouse with drug users. And if they're caught what then? We're going to cut them off and make their kids starve? Dumb dumb dumb.

I think they avoid be tested and if thst are positive for anything then then can cut them back on what they do get instead of cutting them off. Its just like. Job honestly people get drug tested for job they pop a test they are fired same should happen here and then social services should step in if children are in the picture. People are just so lazy and they can afford drugs while on welfare then they dont need it.

If I have to test to keep my job the you should test to sit on your ass. If you test hot, rehab for first offense, second offense no benefits time to get a job. If you can't afford your kids close your leg's and get a job.

If it's about money, it cost more money to drug test than what it saves.

The more you boot off welfare the more you save, and the more we have to drug test them lazy fu€kers. I would rather spend more now and save in the end than let them continue to work the system. Test them all !!!

I agree they should drug test welfare recipients. I was on welfare for 3 months, until I found a job, due to my husband abandoning me and our two girls. I had been a sahm for 6 years. Not everyone abuses the system. And its okay for people to have nice phones and cars while on welfare, I had a fairly new dodge truck. I had an iPhone, bc my parents added me to their plan and took care of the bill until I got on my feet. So drug test, but know not everyone abuses the system.

I agree they should drug test welfare reciepients If others work for a check and are subject to random testing then the welfare lazy azz people getting government money should also be tested. You fail the test you lose your money. Cut and dried. NO EXCUSES.

There is no cut and dry, because then children go hungry, period, end of the great idea you just vomited. Then what? Social services get involved? I'm sure that won't cost tax payers anything.

Agreed and if Social Services gets involved, then courts get involved and other agencies so of course, that doesn't cost the tax payers anything. Congrats on getting off welfare "haha". You have proven what it was set up for to be used until one can get on one's feet. It is just sad that many take advantage and abuse the system.

I believe everyone honestly should be suggested a random bases because that all people do these days use an abuse each and every system we have. Even some of the higher parties and enforcers use too. I believe everyone should be screened hes the drugs stopped get our economy back on track start saving money on many different things. Drug testing should be mandatory for everyone no matter what and if they pop thst should be cut from whatever.
