Before you judge, go to the school and see for yourself. The portion sizes are very small, especially for high school students. I am glad they are serving more healthy foods, but things such as raisins are being served as a fresh fruit side item. French fries are still being served, but only 6 fries per tray. Thus is fine for elementary, but I feel sorry for the high school kids. They come home starving. What's even more sad is that school lunch is the only decent meal many kids get in a day, and now they can't even get that. Go to the school and see for yourself before you have a sarcastic reply to this comment.

Has all of you forgotten the " pink slime "kids were being fed? Even all the liberal news stations reported on it. No thanks
I'll pack my kids lunch.

Many Kids will not eat the nasty crap they serve for school lunch. For years they ate the school lunches until the new Obama regulations were put in place.
The new Obama regulations are leading to kids not eating at school. Next term, if they win Michelle Obama plans to go after grocery stores like she did the school lunch programs. Fat kids may lose weight, but skinny kids are losing weight too.
Somebody tell the Obamas to stay out of our local business (like our school lunch programs) and to tend to the National interest like doing something about the people that want us and Israel dead.
Gosh yeah it used to be so good when GW Bush said that ketchup counted as a vegetable. Get real and make your kids eat more healthy food!

Reagan administration said ketchup counted as a vegetable early on in the eighties.

my system will not tolerate healthy food. i always eat 2 or 3 bacon egg and cheese biscuts for breakfast every morning with 3 or 4 pints of chocalate milk. then for lunch usually 2 double cheeseburgers or or 2 big macs or 2 hardee thickburgers with double extra cheese and hold the lettuce, tomato, and pickle with extra mayo only.then i eat a super serving of fries with that and get the large dr. pepper or coke or mellow yellow and drink at least 3 refills. then for supper usually either pizza with cheese and pepperoni and italian sausage hold the peppers, onions, and mushrooms and olives please.I will eat subs with plenty of horseradish with double extra cheese and curly fries. well you get the picture i like mexican food too as long as their stuff has plenty of meat and cheese on it with no vegetables. if i eat vegetables i gives me diarreah so i eat meat bread and cheese mainly with plenty of french fries. i woud like onion rings but they give me diareah too.when i was in school i always took my lunch and would not eat the cafeteria food because i got diarrea i always took 3 or 4 baloney sandwiches and plenty of potato chips and half a dozen little debbie swiss cake roles, i didn't take apples, pears or bananas because i get diarrea from them too.

Yes, that's what happens when you eat so much junk. Your body can't process real food anymore. You better supplement your diet with some vitamins or you're going to an early grave. I hope you don't have children.

Looks like you are going to be in some serious trouble if M. Obama gets her new Healthy Food Policy pushed through like she said she is going to do next term. She says she is even going after the grocery stores to regulate what they can sell.

Whoah, whoah, whoah!!!
The First Lady can make policies now. I mean, in the Clinton era that was a no-brainer. But 'officially'? Good Lord. Who was on the ballot anyway?

People who are informed have information such as;

1. what M Obama has done to affect school lunches

2. what M Obama has announced as her plan to regulate what food is sold next term

3. her anti- McDonald comments

ignorance should not be a problem if you have the internet, see videos M Obama in news...If you only watch liberal news media you have likely been told that Americans are too dumb to eat right and outlawing bad food will lower healthcare cost. liberals may be right or wrong but everyone should be informed as we give up our FREEDOMS.

Her husband is the President. Who do you think was behind the school lunch program that M Obama takes credit for?

You have to know your stuff to get accurate news today, much of the media is funded by a guy called soros who many believe is very anti-american. Not everyone like America, M Obama said she is proud to be an american for the first time in her adult life. Looks like that means she was not proud to be an american before the Obama presidency.

But there is a huge difference in the philosophies of the presidential candidates this time.

Freedom and competition (Romney) made this country strong, government control of everything (Obama) is the current political direction.

Are the people from W KY too dumb to serve appropriate lunches? Why do we need a king and queen, can't people around here handle the job?

Since the Liberals have worked so hard for many years to do away with traditional American Families, by OVER supplementing NoN-traditional families with gov $$$ we have a lot of irresponsible people.

Food Corporations are monopolizing due to government pressure (just like banks). Farm regulations and permit cost many $20 000 are way too high for many small farm businesses that used to produce local healthy food.

The Anti Small business government has forced us to have bulk-cheap to produce - fat people inducing food.

Quality food is no loner as affordable as cheap fructose corn syrup based and genetically modified food.

The government wants to take the place of what they have destroyed by regulating your behavior.

Instead of forcing small farm businesses out of business with over regulations,$20 000 permits and stupid lawsuits the government should level the playing field so that lots of small farms can compete.

Local food , local school and local control.

or

Big monopolized food corporations with lobbyist that get laws passed so that they get an unfair business advantage.

Get rid of M Obama and her school lunch program and B Obama and his anti small business agenda that's bad for good food!!!

Tell Obama to quit attacking the small farm businesses. The small farm food is good for you.

The government controlled big farms are producing the crap that makes people fat and sick.

The government made this system NOT the PEOPLE!!!

Daily Horoscope for May 25

Virgo

You have energy to burn today and it needs positive outlets, otherwise you'll be rather ratty and impatient. You want to work on activities that will show you in a good light, and you'll be annoyed if anyone objects to what you're doing or points out where you're going wrong. If you've been nursing a secret passion for someone, the frustration will really get to you.
