I miss those days, too! I drove a new "Smokey and the Bandit" Trans Am, and spent hours just crusiin' Paducah checkin' out all the hot guys at the Dairy Queen, Cardinal Point, 19th Hole, etc. Damn, I wish I still had that car....

That's when Dairy Queen had the pullup curb service, that front row was the place to park on a Friday & Saturday night. I remember the security guy that walked around and we got some beers out of the cooler in the trunk and he was cool about it.
oh yeah

Those were great times! I really miss those carefree days of cruisin' the park on Friday and Saturday nights. Wish I could go back in time and re-live those days again.

I forgot about that, the front was the place to be! Sometimes you might park your car, load up with someone else and ride. Not even worried about anybody messin' with your car...times have for sure changed.....

I used to smoke hash every day listen to fog hat and lynard skyward Go fishing at the game reserve drive a old 70 1/2 camaro with a 3o2 4 speed. Drag race it at union carbide sat nights Sunday afternoons. I drink beer by the bunch. And would have three domes with this girl and her mom. It was a good time then and country junction and turf club was my second home.

We raced behind Carbide in the day or between the bridges on Woodville Rd. Remember the game reserve parties...damn good times!

I'm glad you're a female...That whole area was crazy, the Captain D's, Wagner Candy and Cap N Cork parking lots were always packed to.

I remember ALL those things very well....hell, I still have foghat albums,!(just nothing to play them on!). For a bunch of us girls, the goal was to go ridin' around with a Heath guy on Friday nite, and get a date with him for Saturday nite! I'm from Ballard, and there was something special 'bout those fellas from Heath.........

Well now,'Spicoli', you certainly have my attention. Did you go out with very many Ballard girls? Any that were tall and brown-eyed???

As a matter of fact I did. That was the best thing about working at Jimmy's Market, all the Ballard girls that came in with their moms. Working there was the next best thing to being a rock star. I remember a few tall ones and brown-eyed as well. Some of the names I recall are Leigh Ann, Sonya, Keena & her sister (can't remember her name, Ladonna, Ginger, Staci, Becky...there's more but I'm drawing a blank. Did you ever go to King Tuts? Those were some awesome Sundays. We even hung out in LaCenter & Kevil back then.
