Who all is running, and who will you vote for? I keep hearing that Kaler will run, but I've only read that Coleman announced and I saw that Ringstaff is running. Anyone you want to run?

I didn't know what you meant so I googled his name. From what I see, he plays D&D and such. This isn't 1980 so we don't have to pretend that people who play D&D are devil worshipers. I'll vote for a member of the Quilt City Ogres over a guy who was a member of the Paducah Board of Commissioners any day. Coleman didn't even understand how elections worked last time (though he may have been robbed, it was shaddy how the numbers changed last minute. Wouldn't put it past Paxton...).

But who is Kaler? And Harnice? If they're running for office, can we get some information on their plans or something? Does Coleman have a site or contact? Before I vote for anyone, I want to see what they're actually planning to do.

Too many people focus on the presidential election, but it is the local mayor that affects us more and our current one has hurt us badly. Lets get some candidates that will fix our economy here locally.

But who all else IS running? I see Coleman's announcement, and the young guy with the website above. But has anyone else actually declared yet or submitted paperwork? Is there an official website somewhere we're we can see who all filed?

I like geeks just fine, but I draw the line at cosplay. And cosplaying geeks aren't known for their people skills, something that's kind of important when you're representing a city of this size.

Seriously, what do you think qualifies this guy to be mayor? What's his degree in, what type of business background does he have? The picture on pg. 7 of this PDF doesn't make me think of leadership or integrity... And for Chrissakes, this guy still uses Hotmail! He should have his geek card revoked.

I don't personally know Charles, but none of the ogres I know cosplay. They do help out OMGcon, so maybe that's the confusion? Not sure.

If Charles and Coleman are all that's running, I'm with Charles. Coleman would of been great 10 years ago. Don't forget he was equally involved in the Big E waste of money crap.

You're right, there's nothing wrong with KIDS dressing up. But mayors aren't generally kids, and there's a reason for that. And I got cosplay from his involvement in the Amtgard game. Every picture I've ever seen of Amtgard, the players are in costume.

Look, I'm sure Charles is a fun guy and he's probably a blast to party with. But nowhere on his Vote Ringstaff page is there any mention of his qualifications or ideas. This tells me the guy's doing this for a joke...

I don't know any of these candidate kids here, but Paxton was a banker, yet he managed to waste millions of dollars and allow hundreds of thousands more to be embezzled. So, what exactly do politicians need to be qualified for something?
